We have lived at Mira Santi for a few years already in a 2-bedroom unit. In April 2023 we decided to move into a 3-bedroom unit. The complex had an internet community package with ***, meaning *** was the internet provider for the entire apartment ************* were charged a set fee every month on your lease. Mira Santi had made this change to the apartment complex in 2022. Before that residents could pick their own internet provider. However, we had already *** internet before they decided to switch the entire complex over to ***. Since we already had ***, we were told we didnt have to do anything & that our *** account would be switched over to the community package. Now in April 2023, we are moving into our 3-bedroom unit, we took our *** modem with us from our 2-bedrm to our 3-bedrm unit. We were told by ****** Eskroom one of the leasing agents that we were suppose to leave our modem in the 2-bedrm unit & so he asked us to turn in the modem to him. We then gave our modem to ****** as we were instructed. Two months later, in June *** charged us for not returning the modem & continued to charge us ***** per month for internet service. We brought this up to ****** & **** in the leasing office & told them *** was charging us because of our old ************ still think we are using the internet in our old unit. The leasing office then got in communication with *** to let them know the ************** wanted a refund because we did not use any of the internet service they said was provided. **** intial offer of a refund was $200 dollars, however, I expressed to ************* that we would not be taking anything less than what we paid to *** $795.05 & that it was Mira Santis responsibility to make sure we got that exact refund back since they were the ones that told us to return our old modem to them. We have been in communication with Mira Santi asking for our refund for the past *********** keep saying they are working on it.
