      Went to Firestone 8/22 and had an alternator and battery replaced. 12/22 my vehicle had the identical issue as in 8/22. Returned to Firestone to be told the alternator was no longer under warranty and they show no record of the battery replacement. Did a diagnostic check and said the issue wasnt my alternator or battery at all but I had a major oil leak. I informed I didnt have and oil in my driveway and had a oil change just a month prior and there was no signs of an oil leak. I went on had the repairs done the price jumped from $1200 to $1800 without anyone making me aware. When I raised the concern they discounted the repairs around $100. One week later car was leaking oil. 2/23 took my car to them for an oil change 2 days later the vehicle had the same exact issue happen that happened with the vehicle in both 8/22 and 12/22. Tow truck guy said after giving a jump the alternator is bad. Towed the car to Firestone where I was told the battery had a dead cell. They told me because there was no record of the battery I had to pay for labor which was $170. I drove off, vehicle again battery warning light came on I went back they put their machine on it and said it was not the alternator the code shows its a wiring issue and they do not do those repairs. Drove off car did exactly what it did on 8/22, 12/22 and 2/23. I had to tow it to a different repair shop that specializes in wire work who told me there is no wire issue it was a bad alternator. I paid for repairs with them car is now operating just fine. They also informed me all of the repair facilities in that area including the Firestone I had been dealing with for month gets their parts from the same place and the alternator should have been warranted out abs repair because it was done with them in August. I would like to take Firestone to small claims court. Also I have my records from the oil change company that was changing my oil and did an oil change just a before this mysterious major oil leak.
