    In January 2024, I brought my 2018 ****** 4Runner to Desert Car Care of Chandler due to heavy shaking when braking. I informed them that I suspected warped front rotors. They told me the issue was instead caused by worn-out upper and lower control arms and recommended replacing them. I agreed to the repair and paid over $3,000.After the work was done, the shaking continued. I was then told the cause was scalloped tires, so I replaced all four tires at my own expense. The issue persisted.On a return visit, I again asked them to inspect the front rotors, stating the issue clearly. I was told the front rotors and pads were fine, but that the rear rotors were warped. I questioned this, but was reassured. I paid $1,500+ for new rear pads and rotors.When I picked up the vehicle, I watched one of their technicians drive it and visibly shake his head. He said the front rotors were warped, confirming what I had said from the beginning. When I confronted the shop, they admitted they had only done a visual inspection of the front rotors.They then offered to do the front brakesfor another $870 quote, using parts that are available online for significantly less. Those estimates later disappeared from their online ********* total, I spent over $4,500, and the original issue I described on day one was ignored, misdiagnosed, and then upcharged when finally confirmed. I believe this shop failed in its duty to properly diagnose the vehicle and instead sold me unnecessary repairs.
