  10/2021 we contacted AZ Elite to for a remodel bid. During the process, we informed ***************************, that we had already selected our kitchen and bathroom slabs from AZ Tile. 4 slabs total. The slabs were being held for us, and we'd have a contractor take them for fabrication once we decided on a general contractor for the job, whether them or another GC. 12/2021, ** Tile told ** that there'd be a price increase on our ********** would need to purchase the slabs asap to keep the price. We asked ****** if he could facilitate the transfer of slabs & for a contractor discount from ** Tile. He sent ** an invoice, which we felt obliged to pay or else lose our carefully selected slabs. The stone total from AZ Tile's records was $16,938.44. We already paid $2,000 to hold them so the balance due was $14,938.44. AZ Elite priced the slab balance at $15,669. No discount. The invoice was for $21,914.25. ****** called a fabricator to procure the slabs and we were told the fabricator was ***** from Mayfair Direct. We had no part in arranging this. We called ***** in February to install kitchen counters. We told him throughout the entire process, no fewer than 3 times, to please save ALL cut-offs, even the smallest bit. He promised that he would. We are now finishing work on our bathroom, using the same slabs we purchased through ******. We found out ***** did NOT save any slab cutoffs and our entire bathroom design had to change to accommodate the remaining amount of marble. The remaining slab and damaged remnant were taken from ***** 2 weeks ago and we were told the several square feet of cutoffs were 'trash' and 'thrown out'. We emailed ****** to ask how they could make things right. I asked ****** why he charged us $6,244 and for them to refund the discrepancy. I was quickly shot down with 0 explanation for the cost and told that AZ Elite has no responsibility for the sub they hired and claim to have 'only made a referral'.

  *******************, Arizona Elite Builders never agreed to give you our Contractor Discount that we receive from Arizona Tile for being a General Contractor. We have a business to run and we are for profit. You asked for help to obtain your slabs before the weekend as they were no longer going to hold them for you. We sent you an invoice (attached) which you paid. We have fair margins and we feel its very unreasonable that you would expect us to give you our discount that we have earned by being a loyal customer with a vendor.
