We were booked with another company at and due to a last second emergency were offered this company as a secondary option the night before our scheduled move. The movers did not pack our things secure. They didnt wrap several pieces of light furniture and place it next to outdoor storage. See pictures below. When we called the company they said because they just loaded it into a 3rd party trailer they arent liable. 5/22/24Business Response

This client has a dispute with the freight truck company she hired as they were the ones who transported her belongings-Not Pearson Moving. Our company was only hired to provide the muscle during the loading process. Customer did not provide enough ********************** blankets or cargo straps to secure belongings even after we informed her that she needed more to properly protect her items. Our company did not perform the driving or the unload where this damage occurred. The damage did not occur while our company was loading the furniture.

this is absolutely not true. There were plenty of extra blankets that we ended up taking in our vehicle with us. There was also extra wrapping that was not used. Your moving crew were the ones that packed everything and decided not to wrap, secure, or cover my furniture properly. We also discovered a tv that you guys broke the screen on due to wedging a heavy table against the screen. The moving crew that unloaded everything kept making comments on how horribly packed the truck was. Our next call will be to the ** office.Business Response

Pearsons was hired for a move to begin between **** am on Aug 30,2022. The contents and size of townhome were discussed prior to commitment and fee was determine. Movers arrived at 1:30 pm, which was 2.5 hours late. No one called to advise they would arrive late, rather I had to call them to confirm they were coming. I was told they were doing a big move; not sure what that had to do with me but 2.5 hours later they arrived. Movers then got stuck in rush hour traffic adding onto their move time. This was done deliberately. Additionally, Movers left 23 boxes and four dining chairs at home as they packed their moving truck horribly. The total cost of the 20 mile move was roughly $800 which I was prepared for. I received zero explanation as to why my belongings were left behind, no apology, no phone call on how to right theyre wrong ...... nothing!!! the following morning, I called Pearsons several times the. received a call back. Pearsons advised they could pick up remaining items later that day, but couldnt provide a time. I had to sit and wait. At approximately 215pm two movers arrived. They slowly packed remaining items in their truck; I began moving my own items closer to their truck as they were dragging their feet. Again Pearsons made sure to get stuck in rush hour traffic. Once at residence the movers requested a sign a document charging me an additional almost $400 which I refused. Pearsons needs to take responsibility for its wrongs. Consumers should not be taken advantage of. Pearsons illegally placed two charges on my credit card. They were never authorized to charge my card. Reviews of this business. Make similar claims. This is a practice of theirsBusiness Response

In response to your complaint:
Pearson's office did update you when we found out that we would not make the original scheduled appointment time. In the home service industry, we can only estimate how long a move will take based on what the client tells us over the phone at time of booking which sometimes can cause us to be late to our secondary appointments of the day. This ties into your move as well.
On moving day, the team loaded your belongings in the truck and there were still a good amount of items that did not fit on the first load. Our office would have recommended a two truck team at time of booking if we had been informed properly of the amount of contents. Since this was the end of the day, our office reached out to you and asked if you'd like another day of service or if you wanted to move the remainder of items using an alternative method. You agreed to hire our company again and proceeded to pay another booking deposit for this next day.
We cannot agree with you that you did not know that you would be charged for the additional services considering you were informed of all charges, and decided to proceed with the second booking.
As mentioned at time of ****************, we are an hourly rate moving service and charge only for services incurred.
Pearson Moving would never process a transaction without our customer knowing. You were informed multiple times of the charges associated with your move and agreed to pay all charges.
You have attempted two chargebacks with your credit card company which we won both times as we had done nothing fraudulent or wrong. We are glad that we were able to get you moved however we cannot process a refund for services incurred. -Pearson Moving management team

Pearsons are thieves. First of all they begin their response with a lie. You never called me when it got to be ****am and still no one had arrived or called I called you lets be clear and honest !!!! **** has numerous complains stating same which is why you wont use yelp. Blaming the algorithms. Ive used moving companies many times and NEVER has one reported a moving time which they failed to arrive for. If this is the case, why would this not be discussed up front when individuals is booking ? Because you are frauds and know you wouldnt get business. You give a window time thats how moving business operate and you arrive in window. Time. You having a big job prior to mine isnt my problem! Im not done with my claim. I have no problem seeing you in civil court. We will let a judge decide.

Business never provided terms and conditions upfront. Again, if a business provides a time of service, the business should be there at promised time. Again, business should complete THEIR job. If I can have one individual pass over you, I have been successful. Karma comes back and bites in all kinds of ways. to Have a great day.Initial Complaint
