      I made a down payment to ********************************************* for $1000 for a surgery that was scheduled for 4-8-2023. When I checked his network status on April 4th w/my insurance company I found he was no longer in-network. His surgery scheduler advised she was unaware that he went out of network. She called Cigna & then advised me this was an ********** would be in-network with my insurance plan in 3 weeks. I agreed to delay the surgery for 1 month to May 8th. I called my insurance company & the provider's ****** on May 3rd, both advised ****************** still wasn't in-network. I cancelled the surgery that day & the surgery scheduler advised she would notify the ****** manager to process the refund to my FSA card. Weeks later I still hadn't been refunded, called ***************************** ********************* ****** named ******, who advised me the doctor won't refund ****** will need to call the corporate ****** called ******* Medical. I called call ******* Medical's billing ***** they stated I would need to get the refund from the doctor as that is who I paid. Called ****** again the & she said this was incorrect. I called ******* Medical (***************************** number ************ option 7) on **** , 7-7 & each time they advised me that the refund was approved & I would be receiving a check in the mail (the payment was made w/an FSA card & should be credited back to the card). On 7-19-2023 I called them again & spoke w/Supervisor ****** (her direct number is ************) who advised me she would watch the case, but nothing can be done because they are behind & don't actually send out the refund. She advised a company called Cognizance does this & she has no idea when this will happen. I called the doctor's ****** & requested the refund again on 7-19-2023, stating I paid the doctor so he should be providing the refund. I gave ******* the ****** manger's assistant my FSA card number so they can do this. They have refused to refund me. The ****** manager ***** *** will not assist.
