      I've been taking my 2 children to the *** location on ************ in ******** AZ for years. Yesterday I made sure all insurance information was up to date prior to their appointments today.I get there early, only to find out nothing was updated. The lady in a mask stopped me before getting to the front desk. She was Absolutely Inappropriate, Rude and Condescending. I don't have time to even explain or spend on these employees at Nationwide vision. We are not going to nationwide ever again. You don't deserve a single start at all.

      I had an eye exam and got new glasses. I had to return them 3 times because they couldn't get the prescription right. On the fourth time I went back I told them forget it I just want my money back. They told me they would refund my money. It has been 5 months and I still haven't received my money. I will never use this business again and I will tell everyone I know not to either. This business doesn't care about taking care of customers, they obviously don't care about fixing any of the issues. What a crooked company and a waste of time.

      I have tried for two months to get a prescription and glasses. I have had two eye Dr ***** and two pairs of glasses made. They both were not the correct prescription to be able to see and the progressive lenses are set too low to see with. Now all I get is the run around on who to see and when to come back. Upon returning when I was told, I was informed they are busy and I need to come back at a later time! I arrived on the day, date and time advised. I was sent away and told to wait for a call from the Manager ******. No call back, no glasses, and they charged me.

      I had an appointment 3/26/24. I received a call stating that my vision insurance was cancelled on 2/29/24. I stated call *************** Shield. I received a call back and they stated they will *************** Shield, so I went to my appointment. After completing my exam I pick out frames for new glasses, at that point I was told by *********************************, Manager, that they cannot bill ********** Blue Shield, I don't recall why her statement did not make sense to me. She than made numerous calls while I waited. Finally she stated I had to pay for the exam, at that point I stated I have Insurance bill them!! So after over 2 hours I left. This is at you *************************** location

      The technician rubi was very patient with all of my children which was 4 and 3 are autistic and explained everything in great detail to each child so they would understand the process to get their eyes checked and 2 needed glasses thank you so much for all of your patience and understanding with my difficult children.

      Brought my son who is autistic and non verbal who can say yes or no. But they turned him away cause it was virtual visit and they say he can't do it his appointment was at 1:00 p.m.and it is 1:45 p.m. and he wasn't seen in fact they changed his appointment to the end of May when he is out of school. They discrimination against my child first time ever here and don't get me started on the staff rude and crude and if your white they talked down to you. Was never told no doctor was in and was never told it was virtual we even said let him try to do the visit. But since he is autistic and non verbal they cancelled his appointment

      For your own well being and mental health, stay away from Nationwide Vision. Especially on Happy Valley Rd. You dont want to deal with ***** the manager. I had cataract surgery and went to nationwide to select the glasses that ******** pays for after cataract. ***** informed me that it takes about a week to get prior approval for my ******** glasses. At this point I have no glasses to wear and I need them badly. I usually get 2 pair but she had to submit the paperwork for the prior approval of the first pair. I talked to my insurance and they denied any prior approval requirement. Especially following cataract surgery. I went back to nationwide and informed ***** what my insurance said. She said the prior approval was for their purposes. Nothing like making a patient whom just had surgery wait needlessly. I ended up ordering my other pair.I waited almost 12 days, only to go pick up my glasses to find out *****, the incompetent manager entered the wrong prescription for my glasses. They were of no use to me. So now Ive got to wait for the right prescription. She offered to give my money back which meant starting over and waiting another 3 or so weeks for glasses I desperately need. One thing that is glaring clear about this organization. They dont give a rats behind about the customers and there needs. We are not there buying an eye brow pencil. We are there for a critical and necessary part of our life. BEING ABLE TO SEE. Im a widowed senior and this treatment of customers is absolutely appalling.

      I was called the day before my appointment by someone that barely spoke English and after 5 minutes I figured out she was trying to tell me I was not eligible for new frames this year I told her I knew that and had old frames I would be using and she started arguing with me about using old frames. I told her I would address that issue when I got there and her response was "well then I guess we'll keep your appointment. When I complained about the call when I arrived for my appointment the young man basically called me a liar, and that he was listening to the call. My prescription didn't change, but because they were having a sale and I had HSA money to use I decided to go ahead and get new frames. After 2 weeks I got a call that my new glasses were in. I went in to pick them up only to find the assistant manager ordered exactly what I purchased last year frames and all. I told them those were not the frames I purchased. They told me to find my frames, which they weren't there so I picked out the closest ones I could find. As I was leaving I turned around and went back in to see if they were going to expedite the request since they messed up and the manager replied "well, we send these out yo ********** so I'll email them and see what can be done."I went back this morning to discuss with them again, but the location is closed on Thursdays and I am unable to get through to the corporate office as the line is constantly busy. I will not be patronizing this company again. Rude, don't care about customers!

      Condescending attitude from staff. The lady has treated me and my son poorly in two different occasions. One I bought glasses that she bent then had an attitude problem when I asked her to fix them. She ended up not fixing and I needed up paying anyways for glasses I never used. For my son she scheduled an appointment then when we showed up to the appointment told us that it was a very busy day and that we needed to reschedule our appointment. The appointment was for a contact lenses class. Again, very bad customer service. This happened in ********* *******.
