06/25/2024 I paid Reliable Transmission at total of $5500 to repair my transmission. It was brought in as the transmission was "slipping" if I came to an abrupt stop and then started going again. **** offered to do an external diagnosis and did so, and indicated that it needed to be rebuilt at a cost of about $2700. He did say he won't know for sure until they take it apart. I get a call that there is more damage than thought, and it's going to cost $5500 to fix the issue. on 6/24 I give a $2,000 down on the cost to repair the transmission, so it stops slipping as mentioned above. I picked up the car on 6/25, paying the remaining $3500 due. On July 8th, I emailed **** to let him know the car is still doing the same thing. He indicated to bring it by. He investigated and mentioned that the motor mounts are gone and that's what's causing it, and it's about $2,000 to fix. I said no.On 8/23/2024 I take the car to Infiniti on ********* to investigate the motor mounts. They indicate that the motor mounts are worn, but definitely not causing the issue and should not be replaced. On 11/23/2024 I checked the fluid level in the transmission, using the recommended procedure from Infiniti. The fluid in the transmission is low. I ended up putting slightly over 2 qts of transmission fluid in the car.THE TRANSMISSION NO LONGER SLIPS WITH THE PROPER AMOUNT OF TRANSMISSION FLUID.I would like a refund of the money paid as 1) Simply filling the transmission properly would have solved the issue on day 1. 2) When the transmission was rebuilt, they left the transmission short of 2qts of fluid, which will undoubtedly have an effect on the longevity of the transmission.

When the vehicle was initially brought in and diagnosed, being low on fluids was not the cause of the issue that he was having at the moment, Customers transmission was taken apart and internal parts of the transmission was damaged, those parts were shown to the customer. After the repairs were completed, if the transmission is low on fluids, it will slip. That was a mistake on our end, but that does not call for a full refund. We stand by our warranty, and will fix/correct any issues pertaining to the work we performed. Worn mounts is a sign of the mounts needing to be replaced, mechanical malfunctions should be addressed. The customer also had work done to his transmission prior to bringing it to us. Having the same issue that he took it into the last shop for. Especially in a situation like this, fluid levels are one of the first things to be checked.

There are a few errors in the response.

    1. No parts were shown to me as part of being a problem - I was told over the phone that additional parts would need to be replaced, at the additional cost beyond $2700 initial estimate.
    2. The slipping issue was not taken to a different shop to be corrected before Reliable Transmission. The other shop solved a P0720 code (valve body failure in the transmission) by replacing the valve body.

Again, I submit that 1) The original problem with the transmission could have been solved with proper fluid level rather than a transmission rebuild. 2) After I paid for a rebuild, the transmission was doing the same thing (was it rebuilt or not?) 3. The car was brought back to Reliable Transmission on July 8th to check the fluid/what was causing the slipping. 4) They didn't check the fluid (as it was obviously low), and wanted to replace the motor mounts (NOT the problem), at an additional cost of $2,000.

How would reliable transmission know that being low on fluids wasn't the problem when I brought the car in? They obviously don't know how to check the fluid level, since after they "rebuilt" the transmission (June 24), it was low on fluid and when they checked it on July 8th, it was still low on fluid. They failed to identify low fluid on 3 levels: 1. When first brought in in June 18. 2. When the transmission was rebuilt on June 24, and 3. When the car was returned on July 8th as the problem was still occurring.

I stand by my request for a full refund as the transmission problem could have been fixed on day 1 with proper fluid levels. Also, the car ran on 2 quarts low from end of June to December, due to Reliable Transmission's failure to properly fill the transmission after working on it, likely causing harm to transmission and early failure.

On July 10 I dropped my vehicle off to have the transmission rebuilt at Arizonas Reliable Transmissions. On July 13th the owner **** called with a total cost and I paid in full. $3971.53. He told us the car would be ready in about a week. Over the next several weeks, I called multiple times to check on the status of my vehicle, always receiving an answer along the lines of they need another part and it will be a few more days. On August ********************************************************************************* period to figure out if the fix had worked. They never said it was done or had us sign any paperwork confirming the work was done. We called that same day informing them the cars issues were worse than when we dropped it off. They told us to continue driving the car to break it in. On August 21, we took it back to the shop and told them we would no longer be driving the car since it was not fixed and we wouldnt be responsible for causing other issues by driving a car with a broken transmission. On September 5, **** called us and told us he had wrecked the car on a test drive. The car has been deemed a total loss. The insurance company is covering the value of the car however they will not reimburse us for the transmission work. **** has refused to refund us as well because he claims the work was done. **** had our vehicle for 8 weeks and continuously told us it wasnt fixed and they needed to replace something else. I never received word that the work was complete on my car. I dont believe I should be held responsible for the $3971.53 that I paid Arizonas Reliable Transmissions as he never delivered a rebuilt transmission to me.

We were able to come to a resolution with the customer. We agreed upon completing a refund of $2,000.00. The work on the vehicle was completed, there was issues along the way, unfortunately, an accident occured during a test drive when the rear wheels locked up while on the freeway.
