This is the second complaint I have had to file against Power Bound Electric in ***********, **. The owner of the company *************************** has continued to send very threatening emails to me. I have not responded to any of these emails. The company has already been paid, and yet the owner is stating that he was not paid. I have proof that the business was sent a certified money order on Oct 6, 2022. The money order was sent with a signature required and also a returned receipt requested. As of today Oct 11, 2022, the owner of the company has not picked up the mail, and when the *********** attempted again to deliver. There was no authorized person to get the mail. In one of the emails, the owner threatened me by stating that he required me to pay via a credit card or he was going to put a lean against the house. I do not pay anyone with credit cards. This threatening email was sent again after the certified check has already been sent. This is going beyond being a business. The owner needs to go pick up his mail and sign for it.

Power Bound Electric - *************************** Appointment Sept 19, 2022 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Tech showed up at 9:15 a.m. Tech diagnosed the hot water tank for the manufacturer. Technician left at 11:15 a.m. Amount charged was $460.00 @ 3 1/2 hours. A second appointment was needed to install manufacturer replacement parts. Parts came in and an appointment was set for Fri. Sept. 23, 2022 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Technician never showed. ******************** was called and stated he forgot. The technician finally arrived at 3:20 p.m. and left at 4:15 p.m. after installing the thermostats. ******************** was called and there was an appointment set up to give the remaining balance for the invoice on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2022, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at *****************************. ******************** never showed up. Instead responded via email to state that he was taking a nap. That he reserves the weekends for family. If this is the case ******************** should not have made the appointment to begin with.******************** then sent emails for the demand of payment on:Sept. 29, 2022 Oct. 6, 2022, at 4:51 a.m. and again at 6:01 a.m.The emails that were sent had content that threatened to send the bill to collections. Then threatened to put a lien on the property if the bill was not paid by a credit card.As a consumer, this type of behavior of sending threatening emails is not a way of doing business. The remaining balance was sent to the business via a cashier's check on Oct. 5, 2022. This business charged me a total of $590.00 for doing absolutely nothing except diagnosis for a Manufacturer. This did not fix the hot water tank. Which resulted in having to find a more reputable business to do the work. This business is not one that would be recommended.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/06/2022

We responded to this customer and gave extra time to try to help them. In the end our kindness was rewarded with a complaint. We wish this customer the best, but some people just are never happy. We have been in business ten years. Yes when a customer calls me constantly on a weekend it becomes overbearing. Even me a business owner needs family time. The fact you complain about that is telling. Best of luck and yes I expect you to pay your bills.
