I have been receiving pain meds for three years and I have gone to Tristate pain institute for the past two. I had a phone doctors appointment with ************** today with Tristate Pain Institute and ***********, *******. This appointment was for my monthly medication review and prescription to be called into the pharmacy. For the past two weeks, since my last Pain appointment, I have called ****************. ************** at least five times. Ive been trying to contact the office for two weeks since he prescribed my meds to let ************** know that the medication he prescribed me was making me sick and I needed something different. ************** accused me of waiting two weeks before I let him know that the medication he prescribed me was making me sick. I left several messages with the medical assistant and spoke with her twice in the last two weeks to try to let them know about the medication that he prescribed and making me ill, even a doctor got back to me. ************** did not acknowledge what I told him on the phone appointment today instead he said that was not true but its clearly in the records. Also, another doctor read my concerns and said to follow up with **************. However, with this follow up with **************, he said I was argumentative and that I waited two weeks to tell him, the medication was making me sick and that I needed something different. and I explain to him that I had not waited and that I wasnt being argumentative, but that I have anxiety and that I had questions and concerns . He then accused me of drug seeking behavior. This is a horrible term for doctors to use with their patients. Its completely unacceptable and if its gone my chart that I want it removed. I would like an apology from **************. I would like to be reinstated with the practice however, I would like my doctor to be ******* who Ive seen before and have no issues with. I would like him to have to have some sort of training to deal with people that have mental illness and anxiety so that he knows what is an argument and what is a discussion. On personal note, I am deeply saddened by the way I was treated. I have depression and anxiety, and that comes forth and lots of questions. None of my doctors before I have ever had any issues with me and Ive always treated me with respect and kindness. For me to have to deal with someone who was obviously angry and jumping to conclusions and using terminology, that is hurtful And discriminatory, and can affect me from getting a new paying provider, is completely unacceptable and I believe illegal. Sincerely, *************************.
