IF I COULD RATE A FACILITY LESS THAN 0 STARS, THIS WOULD BE THE ****** My Dad was there for 21 days in Feb/March 2023 and they nearly killed him with their incompetence and unwillingness to admit he needed more help than they could provide. He stopped eating (due to multiple severe infections (we later found out) and the head nurse, ********, told us they don't typically worry about patients not eating until after about 10 days. I asked her if we needed more medical help for him and she said no. I asked that we move him to a hospital, and she said, "There is nothing a hospital can do for him that we cannot." We called 911 and had him taken to the hospital. They found a blockage in his urethra with 750ml of fluid backed up. They ran tests and found that he had covid, pneumonia, and sepsis and had a new diagnosis of ************************* syndrome. He almost died and, had we not called 911, he may have. All they needed to do was run a few blood tests, have the doctor spend some time looking at his body instead of saying, "he's fine, just needs to rest" for them to know the danger he was in. In addition to the above, the nurses were very sloppy in their care for him. They were clearly understaffed but incompetence added to the problem. The nurses had a hard time remembering when they had last given his meds, they dropped his oxygen tube on the floor frequently (then stuck it back in his nose without cleaning it), and the aids who were "trained" to help move him had no idea what they were doing and stood around in groups doing nothing helpful while my Dad was begging someone to please take him to the toilet. He often waited hours after pushing his call button and when the nurses did come in, they were mad at him for being impatient. Someone needs to visit this facility and thoroughly investigate whether or not they should be able to stay open.
