I have 9 acupuncture sessions remaining which I need refunded, at $39/session. Please be advised I had booked 8 of these sessions on 11/17/24 and expected to use them in full as per an in person visit and discussion with the front desk. I explained that I may move out of state due to a job opportunity. I clarified I might be moving and was trying to use up sessions and asked to NOT be billed again. However, 11/19/24 I was billed for MORE sessions without my consent which was not what I had discussed on 11/17/24. I called the business on 11/19 and the manager refused to honor the bookings and told me that I need to cancel my membership and use the dollar value of the sessions to buy "ad-hoc" sessions which are more expensive, effectively converting the $39/session rate I paid to $59/session. He said his staff member made a mistake booking the sessions. I told him that was not my fault as a customer. I also told him NO I don't want the value converted, I want to be refunded if that's how you're planning to apply the funds. He refused to refund me. At the end of the day, this is my money and if I don't want sessions at 'face value' I simply want my money back. I've included the confirmed bookings which were done on 11/17/24 by Modern Acupuncture, which the manager refuses to honor. See attached text messages with the sessions booked and confirmed. I don't know why he just wouldn't let me use my sessions, I explained that once I knew if I was or wasn't moving I would continue to pay for more but I would not be able to use them in ******** because there isn't a Modern Acupuncture location.

My name is ************************** I am a 72 year old women retired living on a fixed income. I am not good with computers, when I signed up for treatments I was told it was $75 per treatment and she said if you become a member its $29. So she had me sign a bunch of papers on the computer and never explained to me what I was signing up for. I cant see small letters very well and I dont understand Lawyer talk. I am due to have cataract surgery later this month. I wanted to try Acupuncture to see if I can improve signs of old Age such as wrinkles, mood, energy and over all aches and pains . I didnt see any results after 4 months of treatments. I started my treatments February 14, 2022. I gave my notice to quit in April, I wanted to stop my treatments when I noticed I was getting repeated charges on my bank account! The Receptionist at the front desk told me I have give notice in such time. She told me one more charge in May. I told her I paid for 12 treatments per month how is that going to work out. She said; You will have to go into July to finish your treatments. I noticed again in June I got charged again. i called the Company to get a refund and they refused. As I looked to see how many appointments I actually had, it was only 17! I am supposed to get 12 treatments per month and I went for 5 months with only 17 treatments at $1495.00. The office is only open 3 days a week. I would have to had come everyday for a month at a time for 5 months. This was impossible for me because of the 46 miles round trip from my house with the high gas prices. It was never explained to me that I had to do that. I tried twice to get a refund but I was told no! I lost my trust in this Company. They took my all my savings, I should have been charged for only one month. I only got 17 treatments! I am retired and live on a fix income Social Security. I hope you can help me settle this very important matter. Thank you
