  Absolute nightmare of a process building with these clowns. They are in**mpetent at best. The build process took far longer than it ever should have. Huge mistakes made by them at every step of the process. They can't keep quality subs because they don't pay them, so who knows where the money even goes, because they certainly aren't spending on quality materials. If cutting **rners was a profession, ******************* and ** would be experts in the field. Build with literally anyone else.

  I am writing this review in hopes it might save others from making the huge mistake that I did with electing to build a house with San Tan Homes, LLC, aka San Tan Construction, aka Doug Adcox. Let me say I have built a total of 6 houses so I know a bit about the building process. In the beginning communication was ok but it soon became very adversarial. They would not return phone calls, voice mails, texts, or emails. Nothing but problems and issues he won’t fix. It’s not that these problems can’t be fixed; it’s that he doesn’t want to fix them because it comes down to him having to take money out of his pocket to do so. Cold/hot bedroom because of incorrectly installed HVAC system, high humidity in the attic in the summer time, high humidity in my master bath, attic smell in my bathroom when the exhaust fan runs, and paint issues. We got introduced to him by a very young and inexperienced realtor. We thought she knew him and had a relationship with him which we later found out that she didn’t. Guess she just found him out on the internet. If I could go back in time, I would never have built a house with him. We had many problems with this build, and he has now blocked my emails, so he doesn’t have to deal with the problems that I have with my house even though my warranty is not expired yet. He bullied me into filing a claim with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors a few months after we moved in regarding the hot/cold bedroom. I thought it strange at the time but now believe this was a setup to let the builder off the hook from fixing my HVAC. This guy (Doug Adcox) likes to delay and delay and ignore you. The last email I finally got from him just told me to move on. He wasn’t going to pay to fix the problems even though we made him an offer to share in the repairs. Very shady operator in my view and I would never have any involvement with this guy. Find a builder that is reputable & won’t take your money and leave you with a substandard home.

  This company deserves ZERO stars. This builder is DISHONEST, looks for the cheapest labor, while they raise your price. They are not reliable, they give excuse after excuse, they tell LIE after LIE and they do not respond to their buyer. We were required to hire our own architect to update architectural plans that expired and that were not to code. We were left on a concrete slab for nearly a year with no movement and no responses. They switched back and forth between window companies for the cheapest bid and still ordered the wrong windows. If you call for any of your home info they say they need to speak with owner who is unreachable, rarely available and doesn’t respond back. I have multiple email strings, multiple text messages, recorded conversations - constantly trying to get movement on the house, updates, asking for any response and get nothing in return. I threatened to contact the ROC and started filing complaints, then they started to build our home. The framer stopped working on our home and let us know that the owner did not supply them with enough lumber. Our home has sat half framed for over 5 months and has been on concrete nearly 1 1/2 years. To save you time, money and stress - I would recommend staying away from this business or any other related businesses he owns, is a part of or puts in his families name. They are dishonest and in my eyes a scam. I have also learned as of recent that I am not the only one of his clients that this is happening to.
