I hired Elite to pack and store my belongings while I had construction work done to my home. At the time their *** came out I was given an estimate of $3,709.63. Things started looking sketchy the 1st day they arrived without enough needed materials to do the job. This being despite the fact that I had packed and stored all breakables myself, thus giving much less work to do. On the 2nd day I was very ill with a 102 temp, but they tried to leave without taking everything with them. Then their Lead stated it wasn't part of the scope of work, which was not true. I spoke to the Manager who confirmed everything must go and they had to come back a 3rd day. Despite being so ill, I signed some documents that their Lead, ****** explained was basic permission for them to handle/store my stuff and he even remarked at that time that the paragraph about Insurance paying them didn't apply, as that's not how my company does business. My furniture came back damaged. The legs were not wrapped, although they should have and the furniture was simply broken. I had a trusted contractor fix the major breaks and their crew came with cheap markers to try to hide the gouges, ineffectively. Since then **** at Elite has been cavalier about the situation and has proven quite dishonest about conversations we've had. My understanding from these conversations in February was that I would owe $1,700 upon return of my belongings. This was before I saw all the damage. Now **** has basically said since I don't have a recording of those conversations, I have to proof of what he said. I wasn't expecting to be paying the full $1,700 because of the damage that their little markers can't hide, but now he's even demanding more and threatening to put a lien on my home. I've spoken with people in the industry and I wish I had checked them out before doing business with them. I trusted the demolition contractor who referred them to me. All of this stress has caused severe medical issues for me.

12/7/23 ************ is run under EIN: 86-3683871 which is included on all of their work order agreements and assignment of benefits. This EIN doesn't exist anywhere from what I can tell. They are located at *************. ********, *******, **. ***** ************ broke my desk, dropped a sound bar in front of me, four of their employees and two employees from a different company. They denied any damages were of their doing.Their documentation is never correct as to whom was present during pack out and pack back, so they refuse to take responsibility for the damages. They also attached our clothes dryer without hooking it up to the vent. A week went by of the house being filled with lint until we pulled the dryer to see what was wrong. That is when we found out they never hooked it up.We were forced to use this company due to an insurance claim with USAA regarding a water leak. Elite Pack Out LLC. were hired by RMJ Construction whom states they only hire/contract certified and licensed vendors. They are now trying to double charge me for what my insurance has already paid for. ************ has been horrific to a lot of customers, and I'm afraid, will continue to do so. They are asking for $1,096.94 that should have been charged to my insurance and which they have stated to have paid. It is my assumption they are trying to charge both me and the insurance company. If I never hear from this company again, it will still be too soon.
