He was thorough in his evaluation and up front with the pros and cons of my options when rekeying my new home and assuring a secure property. Alarms and cameras are a poor method of ensuring you won't have a break-in, especially with police reponse times becoming longer for non-violent crimes like burglaries.       Dear ******,I'm glad we could assist with getting your locks in order. Congratulations again on your new home and I hope the move goes smoothly. Your deadbolt latches were not properly engaging with the strike plates so we used a chisel to remove some material in the jamb that was blocking the bolt from entering. This improves security because now the bolts can't be "shimmed" or walked back out of the strikes. This was a substantial security improvement. In addition, we placed longer screws in all strike plates and hinges to prevent kick-ins and prying. And the best part is that you didn't need to buy new locks to achieve an adequate level of door security. They're also now functioning better with the graphite and 3-in-1 oil we applied to the latches and lock cylinders. We do sell new locks but it's nice to have the ability to restore existing locks and make these types of improvements for our clients.I appreciate that we were able to assist you with restoring your locks and getting things working well on a single key. I know this will compliment your new home by making sure that you have one less problem to worry about.Be sure to let me know if you need anything else.
