In October 2022 or so I transferred a car that belong to me to his personal name in a word agreement that the value of the car $1200 will be used for different other car repairs.in late January 2023, I called mechanic let him know I was having trouble with my current car, he came and diagnosed the car and said I needed a new Motor. He verbally said if you buy the motor ill install it with the cost I already owe you from the car. So I bought the Motor handed him more than $3500 cash so he could buy the motor. I got a receipt he sent in text not matching the price he said the motor cost but I got a receipt. After he bought the Motor, he sent a text saying that his cost to install the motor was $4600 dollars and to just remove the $1200 from what he already owed me. I was shocked with this news because that is not what he said when he came to look at the car.I told him that if he said that was his labor charge before he bought the motor, I would have just bought a different car that was a high labor charge. I said if that's your labor charge i'll pay it, but work with me on a payment plan because I was blindsided with this labor cost and he wasn't honest upfront. he said he return the car at certain day and then ask for extension twice. On the day he suppose to deliver the car he said it wasn't done and I had to send more money I sent $500 via Zelle the week prior he asked for an extension to cover labor now he been paid $1700 for labor and +$3,500 for the motor of car.he is no longer responsive to text or calls. I demanded my car back now regardless in the conditions it is in, I can't keep giving him time to work on the car or money.he is a thief and a liar. no longer responding to texts he been saying he is connecting wires now but never gives you the location of his shop or where the car is located. as he is a Mobile mechanic. the info I summited of the business I got off the Secretary of State's website as a trade name I have text messages for proof.
