Paid $3600 to have an engine built for my **** Mustang. drove it approximately 30 miles engine has a knock/noise. Called ***** the owner of FiveStar and he refused to look at it to access the issue. My only option in his words is to pay another shop to tear it down uninstall motor deliver to them and then "if" they determine it was a faulty part he will cover it. How completely illogical ofa request that is. They have the ability to look at the car in its entirety there and make an assessment but refuse to do so

********************** purchased and engine from Five Star Engines over the counter and installed the engine.  ********************** contacted Five Star with questions on a "knocking" sound.  Five Star instructed ********************** to have the "knocking" noise diagnosed to determine what the alleged noise was and / or origin.  There are many moving parts within the engine assembly / components.  We do not install engines in house or work on customer vehicles.  We are a machine shop which remanufactures engines.  The engine is fully covered under our written Limited Warranty of one year unlimited mileage against any defective parts or workmanship.  ********************** has not complied with the Limited Warranty in which he signed and has a copy of the Limited Warranty.  We can make exceptions, and would be glad to have ********************** bring the vehicle by to have us give an opinion on what the "noise" might be.  If the noise is internal, the engine may have to be removed and returned to Five Star for inspection / tear down / diagnosis / repair.  It also may be a very simple fix depending on cause of noise.  Too many unknowns at this point.  Five Star has been in business for over 33 years in the same location with and exemplary record of service with thousands of engines sold.

Thank you for your time and consideration, *********************

Again what a ridiculous idea pay to have engine torn down  removed and taken to 5 Star instead of them looking at it there and diagnosing  it. They are not just a machine shop they are mechanics if you can assemble an engine you can tear one down and install it. They  simply don't want to help.So a refund or partial refund is the only fair solution.

Again, we agreed to listen to the alleged noise and provide a professional opinion.  Welcome to bring the vehicle by anytime.  Also welcome to return the engine for inspection / diagnosis at any time.  We are open from 8-5, M-F.  The customer purchased the ******************** "over the counter", we did not install the engine.  The engine is completely under the LImited Warranty agreed to by ***********************  ********************** has not complied with the warranty.  We have and always will stand behind our product.  If there is a warranty issue it is fully covered with repair / replacement.

    Thanks again,  *****
