I brought my 2010 Jaguar XF here for a simple diagnosis because my car would die out upon acceleration. I get word back a week later that it was my fuel pump that had been damaged upon its last replacement. So I get an estimate and it was $1600. I declined and told them I could fix that issue myself and I'd be by to pick the car up in two days. I then arrive and see my car with the window down and a bag over it parked bumper to bumper with a old truck. My fairings are bent from a lift and my trunk vinyl loose from someone trying to pull it off hard. But the real reason for my complaint is that my car now no longer has power to anything. It's completely powerless. Brand new battery connected but nothing. And on their paperwork they stated "verified car has power and turns on" now I'm sitting here getting a run around from the front desk people asking me ignorant questions like i"s their power to your fuel pump" after I told them theirs no power to the entire car now that I've picked it up from their shop and they refuse to let me speak with the technician that handled this or the owner. I'm at a loss on the next step but I need compensation for this. How am I receiving my car back in this state of worse condition after paying over $300 for a diagnostic tool to be hooked up and not for you to disconnect my fuel pump and give me my car back with some unknown electrical issue.

The customer brought his vehicle in for stall issues. The tech went to start the car to pull it into the bay, to begin to assess the vehicle, and had issues with the push button start ignition switch not operating properly. He had thought that the battery might be dead however, after multiple pushes it finally started. The tech then suspected a faulty switch. As the tech was pulling it into the shop, the vehicle died, we pushed it into the bay and connected the diagnostic scan tool. Two codes came back: PO18B-29, for fuel pressure sensor and POA9A-88, alternator control module. Since the customer complaint was that the car was not running and stalling out, we checked the fuel pressure at the pump in the tank and determined the pump was running with no fuel coming out of the pump. We pulled the fuel pump and discovered the pump had been replaced but fuel feed line to pump was broken, not allowing the pump to get any fuel. At that point we attempt to check battery to see if it was low, we did not have access to the trunk because we had no key to the trunk and the battery is in the trunk. At that time we advised customer the car needed a new fuel pump and we gave an estimate for genuine high-quality pump. The customer refused the repair, he said he would supply his own pump and that he would install it himself and have the car towed out. At no point did we lift the car, because it wasnt necessary, the access to pump is underneath the car rear seat. At no time did we get into the trunk because we did not have access not having a key. We advised the customer accordingly. Customer had the car towed away. He called after he had the car towed away, accusing us of damaging his car, which is not true, we did no repairs, we only diagnosed the fuel pressure problem and had multiple issues with the ignition start button.

Biggest crooks I have ever seen.Tool my car for repairs and got a $900 dollar est. they did that work then without an ok the "checked" the turbo and said it was bad. Told them that I didn't want them to repair that and when I picked their car up they charge me an additional $500 dollars for labor for checking the turbo. Checking the turbo required removing a hose! Was told it took an additional 3 hours of labor!Idont believe a hose removal takes 3 hours.

Mr. ***** car was towed into us because it quit running on the highway. The customer informed me that he replaced the mass air sensor and the fuel filter, he said a piece was missing but it still would not work. Our initial diagnosis reviled that there was no fuel reaching the fuel filter and that the pump in the tank was defective. I gave the customer an estimate for the fuel pressure test and the scan tool diagnosis to read for the error codes and to replace the fuel pump in the tank. After the pump was replaced, it had the correct fuel pressure but still would not start. We did a compression test to verify the engine was good and it tested ok. We checked the *** system to determine if there was a blockage in the vehicle, no detect was found. We checked the mass air flow sensor again, we also checked the crank position sensor for signal, and no defects were found. We then removed the turbo air piping to inspect the turbo, we found the turbo had seized and the impeller was broken. This was likely caused by a foreign object in the intake system. It is not normal for a turbo failure and fuel pump failure to occur at the same time. It is my belief that the customer is not being honest or forthcoming with all pertinent information as to what occurred during the repair he attempted to make and as to what happened when the car stopped running. I called the customer and advised him as to what we found, at that time he refused further repairs and stated he would pick up the car as is. We only charged him for the fuel pump replacement and further diagnosis as to why the engine would not start. We proceeded with the further diagnosis because it would not help the customer if the engine would still not run/start after spending money to replace the fuel pump. I tried to explain this to the customer however, he was too upset to listen or to be reasoned with. I firmly believe he did something to the vehicle during his attempt to repair it that caused the turbo failure (the foreign object in the turbo). As a shop owner for over 43 years, I pride myself of being fair to my customers and I feel that the charges for the parts and labor for the repairs that were completed and the diagnosis charges are fair charges to the customer and fairly due to my shop.

Horrible customer service, way to long in shop, and did a horrible job and did a service I did not approve. Called and went in to shop after my check engine light came on and steering is sloopy and 4x4 doesn't work now. They refused to make it right with me over and over again. The worse shop ever. Hopefully insurance will never use them again and help me correct the issues I have now.

After two months working with this customer and his insurance company, we completed the repairs requested to be done so by the insurance company. After that work was completed, the customer requested us to complete a transmission service as well (which had nothing to do with the repairs needed for the insurance claim). We did so, when the customer came to pick up his vehicle, he was upset that he had to pay for the transmission service he requested be completed. We are a business and as so, we don't do service work free of charge. If you ask for work to be completed, be prepared to pay for the service.
