Hi,I tried resolving this months ago and had multiple phone conversations with the office and contacted my insurance. Midwest continues to file a claim to the wrong insurance after I provided them the corrected insurance. My credit has seen a hit since the claim. I received another bill for 129 dollars after reporting to them that they did not file the claim to the correct insurance policy. I checked my claims again and they still have not sent it to the correct one. I called them back on 4/23 and have since provided them my correct insurance information. I need additional help getting this corrected because nothing I have done is working to get them to send it to the right insurance provider.

      Business Response

The patient *********************** was seen in our office. We were not informed that the patients insurance member ID had changed.

We billed her insurance on good faith and her claim denied for no coverage. She then received a bill. *************** had spoken with the

Billing department on several occasions giving insurance information, however, we were not able to verify eligibility, it consistently stated, member not covered.

It was not until last month that the **** website finally updated to reflect the member was in fact covered for this DOS and billing resubmitted the claim for payment.

We received an explanation of benefits (EOB) from **** on 08/25/23 that the claim had processed and applied a portion to the patients deductible.

The patient called and stated that she never has a deductible. Her billing history reflects differently, I also had my billing representative call **** to make sure the claim was in fact processed correctly. She was advised the **** advised the patient last week that this was applied to her deductible and her responsibility.

I spoke with the patients doctor ******************** regarding this matter, and she advised me to have the billing department, as a onetime courtesy, adjust the remain balance off for the patient. This was not decided due to any type of billing errors and from the goodness of her heart to keep her patient happy.

Please let me know if you need anything else from ****************** or Midwest Internal Medicine.
