My husband and I went to Arizona State Express Title and Registration on 05/08/2023 because we moved back to ** from **. We wanted to get AZ driver's licenses and register our car in AZ. The transactions seemed to go smoothly; they told us that AZ had digital titles, so they kept our old one. They charged us ****** for all the transactions. My husband passed away 04/17/24 and I went back to Arizona State Express Title and Registration to have my husband taken off the title and my daughter put on. They told me that I needed to wait 30 days after my husband passed and that I should go to the actual *** to complete the transaction, but they didn't tell me why. My daughter called someone she knew that worked at a different 3rd party agency. She told my daughter that my car was NOT registered in AZ and that Express Title had titled the car in my husband's name only. We went to the *** on 05/22/24, the person that helped us said that it was true that my car wasn't registered, and my husband was the sole owner. She also said that I was charged a penalty fee of ****** from Express for not having my car registered in ** (it was registered in ** for 4 years). I was charged ****** for this transaction and it included doing a non -probate for the title to be in my name. I would like Express Title to reimburse the ****** that I paid *** and the ****** penalty fee that I paid Express.

The title to my late fathers vehicle was transferred to my mother. All the physical paperwork is correct, however the odometer reading was entered incorrectly into their system. Now I am stuck attempting to sell the vehicle without first retrieving the vehicle from the dealership (who currently has possession) and taking it for an inspection to resolve the matter, adding time and money. An organization who makes a data entry error should be able to resolve the issue. I don't understand how an organization can have no accountability. Why can't this simple matter be resolved.
