    I moved from ********** to ******* and reserved a one bedroom apartment with The Polo Club at **************************************************************************************** was said to be ready for me on November 22, 2024. My mom signed to pick up the keys, that morning, and called me, as I was arriving that evening, driving a uhaul truck with all my belongings.She let me know the apartment smelled horrible, someone had smoked inside for years! Roaches fell out of the refrigerator, the power box had no metal cover on it. The bedroom door had no handle, the bathroom cabinet was not painted and discustingly dirty. The screen door was stuck and the sliding door was wide open. The a/c unit metal cover was missing, and finally the toilet seat was missing. All three items were found out on the ********** mom and I went to the office the next day, November 23, 2024, and stated this was a toxic aparment and unliveable. The girl said she would speak with the manager, as it was a Saturday.The girl in the office said the Manager had given us 3 options.*One to stay in the model home & put my uhaul truck belongings in a garage.*Two wait until they finished the unit 435 and we said no way the smell is toxic.* Then thirdly, I could receive a refund.We thanked them and let them know we needed a few hours to look at other apartments, as they did not have any available the same size. We found another apartment complex, and they said you will receive a check here and can pick it up as it is coming from our corporate **********, the manager said I will send a $100 refund, however, the $355.00 in not refundable. What??That was our third choice. My mom called and said that I don't care about the $50 application fee, but the $305.00 needs to be refunded as well. The manager said she will check in with her regional manager, and call me back. I have heard nothing and it is December 4, 2024.
