On 3/9/2024 we went to True Society for my daughter's wedding dress. She found the dress, her measurements were taken behind a screen, the sales lady wrote all the information down and my daughter said white. Ordered a veil, bow and belt to go with it. We were told it would take 5 months. Ok and we left.About a month and a couple of weeks later the dress came in. I thought "oh wow that was quick. Not as long as they said". This was in May 2024. Now my daughter was in the last semester of nursing college before graduation 8/21/24. So she picked up her dress in June and the lady said have a nice day.It wasn't until we went to a licensed alterations person that we found the dress to be "Ivory" and a size too small. The alterations lady said she would not touch it, not enough material to be let out that much.I called True Society and they got us in 3 days later to meet with mngrs, 1 of which was the store mngr, they measured the dress until they got to the arms area to the waist measurement and then they were whispering. All of a sudden they couldn't remember how to measure that part. They came back it is ordered correctly to the size chart. Then measured my daughter, behind the screen, I heard she must've grown taller and that's why it doesn't fit. See their alterations list to have it let out. It can be let out 1.5", she was between sizes so they ordered smaller, size up would be taken in too much and dress would look funny. As for the Ivory color we got "when brides say white, they mean Ivory. No one gets white. Looking back on pictures the dress will have a blue/purple color to it *** ivory won't". We got sorry for confusion but you got your ********** is correct. Even though they messed up on her measurements and assumed she wanted ivory when she said *****. I took her measurements. The ************ were within theirs but her bust is 38.5 and they had 35, dress has built in ******, waist came up to chest it measured so short arm to waist.
