This company called me approximately 1.5 years ago claiming to have litigation regarding a US Bank collection from 2008. The "lawyer" had all of my information that a reputable law firm would have. We set up a payment plan and I have been paying monthly since then. They never collect on the same day off the month, and now that I have tried to contact them regarding my balance, the phone number doesn't work and their website is inactive. I never received any paperwork, and have not gotten a receipt for payment in all this time.

i received a call from this company on Aug 22nd @ 12:49pm EST in which i did not answer I returned the call Aug 22 at 12:50pm EST and spoke to a male agent in which nothing was introduced he just stated he was looking for someone similar to my name (although did not pronounce my name correctly) so i said it was not me. He then proceeded to say that the caller ID i called from matched and i still denied. He then stated as long as your last 4 of your social security number does not end with and proceeded to recite the last 4 is my ssn- I still denied this was me and hung up the phone as it seems like a scam. Not only did i say i was not the person of interest, he stated my whole name with middle initial and gave highly private information over the phone (& this could of been anyone as they have an 6 year old address) clearly their information is not valid and then he goes giving out my last 4. Violation 1 I also noticed when i spoke to the male agent, there was no company name that was introduced so i had to ask and i did not receive a debt collection disclosure. Violation 2 Also when i contacted the other agent i spoke to *******, i let hwr know who i was and confirmed my DOB- i asked for email communication of the debt owed and i do not believe there was any disclosure given either; which is #3 violation of the ******

Called today July 14th claiming to have case file and this is the final step before litigation. This is for debt occuring from US Bank back in 2006. This is well beyond the statute of limitations they dont have a legal right to attempt to try collecting the debt by calling me or using deceptive language to simulate legal process. As a matter of fact both the ***** and *** in ********* explicitly state its unlawful to attempt to collect time barred debt or take any action further the *** (read ********* consumer act) explicitly states it is a prohibited practice to threaten to enforce a right that the collection agency knows does not exist. I recorded the call he claimed to have recorded it to yet there was never notification till i told him it was recorded first.
