Needed new tile in bedrooms. Came across Ocotillo flooring guy walking around waiting for business. Got it going and Installation Made Easy managed the work. There was no point of contact or manager on the project. Different non-english speaking people showing up almost every day. And the crew we talked with about how to transition the tile to our other flooring did NOT communicate anything we talked about to the next crew. They just started installing NOT the way we wanted it. Had to tear out the first 30% they started and do it ********* others have said, run if you hear their name. I'll also give a negative review to Installation Made Easy and **************

Thank you, ****, for informing us about the frustration caused by our installation team during your tile flooring project. After removing the wood flooring in the bedrooms adjoining the ******** tile in the bathroom, we installed the new tiles as instructed. However, the height difference between the thicker Saltillo tile (approx. 5/8) and the thinner porcelain tile (approx. 3/8) was unacceptable to you. Initially, we suggested a transition from ******** to porcelain tile. After consulting with you and your wife, you preferred adjusting the height variance, so the Saltillo matched the porcelain tile better. We then removed the initial installation to start over. ****, the field supervisor, proficient in English, managed the process with the second ******* ************* premier installation contractor in *******, serving over 800 clients annually for the past 6 years, we aim to deliver the best customer experience. We apologize for our communication lapse and have followed up with our management team. Despite the issues, we fulfilled our commitment to install your flooring and worked diligently to meet your expectations.

Normally, good or bad, I don't do reviews. Not this time. If you are considering using this company to do your remodel, beware. Your bid will be very vague in breaking down costs for each portion of the work performed. When they say labor only, that's just what they mean. The trades they use show up with nothing, a plumber comes out for a sink install without a p-trap, or needs to go back home to get a wrench. They tie up a lot of your time just heading back and forth to Home Depot.Have your salesman break down your bid. From the start, they balked at doing the flooring underneath the sink, it was part of the bid, but there was some hesitance. I ended up hiring another contractor to remove and replace the old flooring. In doing so, the old vanity had to be pulled out along with the toilet. The new contractor disposed of the old vanity and the toilet. He set up the new toilet and replaced the baseboards, all of which were part of my bid with Ocotillo Flooring. The estimator assured me that I would be credited for all of the outside work that was performed. Two weeks later my account has finally been credited, a whopping $212.00. So, to recap, Ocotillo installed 99 square feet of tile, set my vanity and put in the sink, and put up 2 recessed lights, labor only, for the meager sum of $4664.00. I figured they set my tile for somewhere between 300 to 400 dollars per square foot, again, labor only. That is some expensive work folks. If you are in Floor and Decor and they recommend Ocotillo Flooring for installation, ask for another contractor. If you end up using them, have everything itemized. If you have to do a change order at any point in the process, stop the job and have the estimator re-do the bid. The outside work that I had done was performed before any of the Ocotillo subs stepped foot in my home. If I only knew then what I know now I would have had them refund my deposit and then re-bid the job. Well, I'm done with Ocotillo.

Hello and thank you for giving us an opportunity to review your project and your concerns regarding your bathroom remodel project. The ************* program is unique in that the client purchases all materials for their project from their preferred retailer and has all the product available at the job site for the construction and installation teams to complete the required labor components of the project. This gives the client the opportunity to shop and get the best value for all the products needed. When our construction team arrived to review the project, it was brought to your attention that your original plumber, who installed the pipes behind the wall, did so incorrectly and had to return at a later date to make the appropriate adjustments so we could properly install your vanity. Additionally, the faucets you originally purchased did not work with your vanity due to the faucet style and had to be replaced with appropriately sized faucets. Between waiting for your plumber to adjust his work, a vacation you took during the process which stopped the work progress, and the normal ebbs and flows of remodel construction work, we work diligently to respect the clients property and time. With that said, because each job has some unique circumstances, the construction team surveys the project and the materials at the remodel site, and as they cannot have every piece of equipment needed to complete the project, they do end up having to go to a supply store to purchase the needed pieces and parts required to complete the project. Sometimes on more than one occasion, unfortunately.Regarding the Labor Only Estimate provided to you by our salesperson, in the comment section of the estimate, each labor component is outlined and a description of the labor is provided. However, the software that we must use to provide the estimate is provided by IME (Vendor for ************* and only allows for a lump sum pricing which does not allow us to itemize each labor component. As to the actual labor provided to you for your bathroom remodel, we installed 117 sf of wall tile on three walls around the vanity. Installed the new vanity and separate countertop and plumbed, installed a complex single mirror with new box and fixture, and wired and installed two recess lighting fixtures for a total of $4,664.00. The labors not provided and refunded were 33 square feet of LVP install on the bathroom floor, 25 linear feet of baseboards installed on wall, and resetting the toilet for a refund of $212.00.When speaking to the construction and installation team, both seem to believe that the project went very well and are happy with the overall results of the remodel. They all have expressed surprise of your dis-satisfaction and have complimented you on your positive interaction with them. Thank you. I reviewed the price for the project and the refund given for the work not performed and am confident that the numbers accurately reflect both the work provided and refund issued. Please feel free to reach out to me, (call, email, response through BBB) if any of the above is incorrect or if there is additional misunderstanding on my part.********************************* Managing Member Ocotillo Flooring Services LLC
