DC Restiration *********** Stand clear of ***************** and *************************. These individuals are incompetent and have a subpar work ethic that might be acceptable to some who settle for less. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever been through. The best way I can explain my experience, is ***************** gathered the neighborhood kids to come over to earn some extra money for summer. Trial and error is the absolute worst practice to instill in your employees and daily business practice. Every job they attempted to repair, took them at least 3 times to get correct. The sad part is that they knew who to call to have the work done the right way, but didnt do so until they realized more damage was being done than repairs and after every attempt, they would ask if its ok or would I accept the work. Every employee that entered my house had no clue or magnitude of the job at hand. I was asked several times by ************************* to settle for the cheapest possible work/job available which was always incomplete with several short cuts and extremely *****UNSAFE*****. Most of the time they were going in reverse until they realized they didnt have the skills to go any further. The part that blew my mind was that he would send the same crew to do the work over. I was told several times by **** and **** that they were sending the same crew to my house because they were already paid therefore need to complete the work. Again, trial and Error.. it blows my mind that they want to instill this work ethic in MY HOUSE! Please shop around if you find yourself in this predicament. This company was in the program with State Farm so I agreed to have them attempt the repairs.Very sad, but I was able to come out on top with the help of other companies. This company is a joke! I wish all that are with this company good luck and I pray you come out better than I did.

For protective privacy right please remove the name of our employees *********************** and ************************* In Response to the customers review of DC Restoration: DC Restoration does use subcontractors that are all license bonded and insured. When we hire a contractor, we hold that contractor to a high standard and sometimes they fall short of what is expected of them, and we do give that subcontractor the opportunity to fix and or warranty their work. Anytime work is subpar we always make the attempt to fix and resolve the issue and make the corrections as we stand behind our work. Our concrete subcontractor unfortunately made a few attempts that were subpar and had to return to redo work but at the end of the job the work was done properly. We are also aware of a flooring issue during installation the pieces were cut too short and had to have longer pieces installed. All items on this customers punch list were completed and the home was returned to pre-loss condition.

I agree that this company is absolute garbage. We had a ****** dollar water loss and USAA suggested them, so we went with it. They put in our floors wrong, they didn't follow the estimate provided by their own estimator for the work that was supposed to be done, did not follow basic instructions for paint choices and preference. It would take them so long to order things that my wife and I ended up ordering most of it ourselves and having them do the work installing it. They cut corners throughout my entire house and even left a tripping hazard in my master bathroom when they didn't remove the old rock board, leaving a 1/2 lip that my wife trips on almost every night.Do not use them if you have the choice, find someone else.

Hire anyone but this company. In the time it took them to repair my home I could have had 4 homes built. My insurance company recommended DC because they are the only restoration company where I live. In hindsight, I would hire a builder. I have 3 typed pages of complaints about the entire process.
