    Received an email that I owe them $2900 for some medical debt.. I called both providers where I received my surgery and was told that I owe nothing. They are going to send me records for it. I tried to reach out to this debt collection agency but their website doesn't even work.

    Scotty Springs was sent multiple paper statements from Ascend Anesthesia the provider of service, all of which have our phone number on them.  We received no response so an electronic statement was sent to the patient.

    I spoke with ****** yesterday and he paid for the 2021 service by credit card commercial insurance processed and this was his deductible that he owed he paid $221.76, and a receipt was emailed to him for his payment.  The 2023 service for $2630.00 show workers compensation and they have denied we asked ****** for his insurance information said he did not know what it was but that his commercial insurance is still in effect.  We have left a message for the surgeon to see what information they have to make sure we are billing the correct plan.  Once the correct insurance pays the patient may get another bill for any coinsurance or deductible, he has due.  He was told this yesterday on the phone.

    Southwest Physician's Solutions is a 3rd party health insurance collector. Provided by a doctor's ******* they was contracted to submit health treatments to my insurance company for them to try to be covered by the insurance company. These treatment occurred in December 2021. They were able to get some of the treatments covered and paid for. However, the insurance company continues to request additional information in order for them to make a decision. Southwest is not responsive to getting this resolved with the insurance company unless I call them to actively manage. And even then, they often do not take the actions they say they will to work with my health insurance to get the claims resolved. I've called and emailed them at least 6 times over the last year. They currently owe me $90 that my health insurance paid to them. I've been told twice Southwest would mail me a check - and they have not.In addition to not actively following up on the claims to ensure they are paid out.

    Due to HIPAA, I cannot discuss anything to do with her treatment, so sorry if I am vague. 

    I can say she had several visits, with a provider who is not contracted with her plan.  All claims and medical records for those dates of service have been submitted, we even spoke with her insurance to have procedure codes that the insurance previously denied was reprocessed for payment. Her insurance made payment on all the visits except one and a refund was issued to her on 4-5-22 that check was cashed by her.  The last visit the insurance did not pay till months later and a refund for that last visit was issued on 1-24-23 for $98.21 check number ****, this check has not cleared our bank, so a new check was issued today check # ****.

    Let me know if I need to do anything else.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
