Ive been staying at the Inn for about 3 weeks due to homelessness, as my wife and I are trying to better our situation. During the whole time, weve been booking rooms that arent in the best conditions. For example, one room had flooding underneath the flooring and a really dirty bathroom. Another rooms shower had a leaking problem. The last room we were in before the incident had a hole in the wall, but we didnt think anything of it. When we checked out this morning, May 10th, and sitting outside, my wife noticed that the cleaning lady was looking at the wall and staring back at us. She immediately told me that theyre trying to blame it on us. Next thing I knew, the office lady came straight to us and immediately accused us of putting the hole in the wall. Ive always came into the office to tell the front lady about anything that was wrong with the room we were in for the night, so this honestly caught me by surprise. I told her that we didnt do that, but she wasnt having it, and immediately told us that she wasnt renting to us anymore. This whole situation is causing stress for my wife, whos suffering from emotional distress from our homeless situation and now this. I would like immediate solutions to this.

My family had reserved and prepaid for two rooms at the American Executive Inn Mesa from 2/22/24 - 2/25/24 for a total of $622.97. When we were finally able to get to the hotel late that night, and unload our belongings, we were shocked on the smell luminating from the rooms. Once we got into the rooms, it was very obvious that the rooms were unsanitary and not thoroughly cleaned. My child had to use the restroom so I escorted him to the restroom and it was very dirty and unsanitary. My child had to use the toilet so he did. The toilet would not even flush, it almost over-flowed. The bathroom mirror had a very large crack and was held together by clear tape. Under the sink was completely exposed with dirt, cinderblock and piping. There were stains on the bedding. The list goes on and on. We went to the front desk to explain that the rooms were unsanitary and the lady stated we could check out. When asked for a refund, she said we had to speak to the manager named ****. She could not give us a refund. We asked for some sort of proof that we were checked out and did not stay, she again said she could not give us any paperwork and for use to give her the room keys. We did. I have called several times, all different times of the day, and the manager is never available. I have left my phone number with the staff for a returned call and have not been called once. I have emailed them as well, explaining that I would like a refund. I have not received any response.
