I want my 4-year-old to learn to play the piano and made an appointment with the piano teacher. Upon review with my son, the piano teacher suggested us waiting a year as his fingers were physically not big enough, and his understanding of numbers and letters was not strong enough either. She suggested let's play music, and referred me to a person in northwest *********, ******, named **** ******.I called and attended a class with my son and something seemed off, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I like the general idea of having a class with my son, so looked past it. I've now come to the point where my family's decided we will not move forward with the teacher. I believe my first impressions of her are correct. She's too high strung, unflexible, does not answer direct questions even when posing the question multiple times, seems to be a micromanager, etc. Also, there's all her rules. Though I have paid for the class materials, through your website, I was not notified of her many rules and regulations until just after Christmas via her sending a link to her online contract portal . It was way overblown and overkill. There's just a weird disposition (malaise / aura) that is felt when you're in her presence. I can see where she will take the fun out of the class, as well as having further problems down the road. Basically, the environment isn't conducive to having a loving, warm atmosphere.I am asking for a full refund. Your organization needs to have a better handle on who teaches your curriculum. Is this the sort of person that is teaching the other classes as well? It's apparent that more screening needs to be conducted prior to admitting a teacher to administer your curriculum.I bent over backwards, rearranging my and my son's schedule, to accommodate ****** online scheduling system. As she notified us late of her rules, I now have to look for another music class, and rearrange our schedules again. This is all been way too much for a half hour weekly class
