    I rented a unit from Denman Realty for two years and they refused to trim the huge bougainvillea bushes (some were as tall or taller than the home!!) with giant thorns or the trees, then had the nerve to charge me upon moving out for not trimming them. I did regular lawn maintenance, such as weed eating, raking, sweeping (dead bougainvillea flowers and tree debris) and trimming the lower non-thorny bushes (banana plants that required constant upkeep), but to do the bougainvillea I would have needed special equipment (which wasn't provided). They also would not let me do a walk-through with them to discuss any issues they might see when moving out, so I would have the opportunity to correct them. I had added a shower rod and curtain and some other minor improvements, which would benefit the next tenant that they did not want kept (I emailed about them specifically). Why would you not want things that would help the next tenant? Very tenant unfriendly.

    Initially, dealing with ******* was a pleasant experience. Move in was less than satisfactory. The blinds and screens were wrecked and the cleaning crew didn't clean the kitchen. There was literally a pile of dirt in the corner. I opened the dishwasher the first time 3 days after being here, and it stunk to high heaven because of stagnant water and mold. I don't believe they cleaned the carpet well either seeing we did and it looked much better. We were told we were to maintain the yard, but the sprinkler system has been broken causing us to have our first 2 months here with $300 water bills. It wasn't fixed right and the issue happened again. We were then told the owner wouldn't fix it. So, we no longer use the system. Now, a month before our lease is up, we've not heard if the rent would be Raised. When I have called to inquire on that, and the liability of the tall sprinkler head sticking out of the ground in the back yard, ******* got rude with me. My husband called yesterday to inquire about the lease and was told that the owner hadn't gotten back to her yet, but he had the information more than a month ago. She then told my husband if he didn't get back to us we could do month to month but it would cost more. Are you serious!? We would have to pay for you not doing your job!? I don't think so. I wish I would have read the reviews about this place. I wouldn't have moved here. Terrible service and illegal practices
