  The doctors and staff of Desert Blossom Health and Rehabilitation Center forced my mother, to lay in a bed with an untreated UTI for a month!!! My mom was also being prescribed **** mg of Ambien by her primary physician. She had been on this for over 10 years. This is twice the recommended dosage. Now I did tell the staff at Desert Blossom Health and Rehabilitation Center that I wanted her off this medication - I didn't expect them to take her off cold turkey! Her doctors should have known better! I live in *********. Over the course of a month, I noticed that my mom become very confused, so I decided to fly down. At this point, my mom didn't know which ************* state she was in (thought she was ********* when in fact she was in *******). She believed her deceased husband and parents were still alive. She believed the room she was in was the room she used to work in over 10 years ago. I will also note that the facility was extremely dirty and smelled of f**** My mom's roommate was removed because of Covid, but they never fully cleaned the room. For almost week, there continued to be trash on the floor that was left by mom's roommate. Before I flew down, I shipped charging cords and plugs for mom's phone to the facility. They claimed they never received the shipment. However, after I arrived, magically they were able to find these cords and plugs (about $45). Finally, my mom had an appointment to see her podiatrist. The podiatrist informed me that the date to remove the brace from mom's broken ankle/heel was delayed by a week because of a rash. A rash she got because she ingested her own ***** matter while staying at this Desert Blossom!!! In order to save my mom, I had to her admit to an ER and look for another rehab facility. Desert Blossom Health and Rehabilitation Center needs to be shut down and the doctors there should lose their medical licenses.
