I put a deposit down on a specific Motorhome and I was told a rental agreement would be texted to me as soon as we finished our conversation. I never received a rental agreement and when I tried calling and texting I couldnt reach anyone. Finally at 7pm the night before I was supposed to pick up the Motorhome I was told the one I wanted wouldnt be available. They offered a smaller one and I told them that wasnt going to work. They never returned my deposit even though the Motorhome I wanted couldnt be provided.

We rented a toy hauler for our trip to ****** ********** from November 21 to November 28th from Boys Toys Rentals LLC speaking with Mr. ************************ The hauler was stated to have "2018 livin' lite for Quicksilver 8.5x24 model toy hauler. Queen *** drops down in the rear with room for another queen *** underneath. Couch and dinette convert to ***s. Will sleep up to 6-8. Front bathroom. Full size fridge/ freezer. Electric awning and tongue ***** Full size kitchen. Lots of interior/exterior lighting. Weight distribution hitch and Generator available upon request. $90 per night when rented 7 or more nights. $120 per night for any rentals under 7 nights. 3 night minimum requirement. Damage deposit required. Holiday rates and special event prices May vary" at their website https://www.boystoysrentals.com/toy-haulers-az/My husband and I both worked full time plus to get the time off to go to ****** for Thanksgiving as I was just re diagnosed with cancer. I had been in remission for the last year but found out October 21rst that it had come back so my family and extended family decided, with blessing from my oncologist, that we would spend family time with no internet or interruptions in ******, as it might be my last Thanksgiving. This sounded perfect: water, for hygienic reasons and cooking obliviously, and a generator as I have bad neuropathy (pain in my legs) from my previous chemotherapy treatments that would provide warmth since cold makes it so much worse. The first thing that happened was the uncleanliness of the unit when my husband picked it up. That's fine I have gloves and Lysol wipes, and the wear and tear was a bit much, but too late to find another toy hauler. When we arrived in ****** we were immediately pulled over by law enforcement for expired tags. The hauler had a ***** license plate. My husband tried to contact the owner several times during the TWO hours we spent with the officers as law enforcement wanted answers, and he did not respond. I called him on my phone (my first contact with him) and he answered immediately. I made him speak to the officers. He stated to the officer that it was a salvaged trailer (we had never been informed of this) and that it was actually registered out of ******* recently they just had not received the plates yet. ******************** knew we were going out of state, he knew that there is quite a bit of law enforcement in ****** for safety and he let us travel with an unregistered salvaged toy hauler. When I register a vehicle I get a paper notice until I get my actual tags. The officers ran the *** out of ******* and it still came up as not registered. The supervisor was called and asked who we rented it from and I showed him the application I had submitted to BOYS TOYS Rentals and he stated he has other people that have had the same issues as ** out of ******* ******* with this company and recommended we not use them in the future. At this point the law enforcement supervisor was nice enough to let us park and told us to enjoy our holiday. Upon parking the toy hauler, only one queen *** was available, as the other one was missing and that *** did not come down all the way. I am five foot zero with an arm port for chemotherapy so crawling up there when no ladder was available was dangerous. The mattress was also a one inch foam. Again as a cancer survivor and re diagnosed patient, sleeping turned out to be very painful. The generator that we were given with the toy hauler not only allowed the heater to work but for whatever reason also made the a/c unit blow out air at the exact same time the heat was coming out! Cold air is not something that someone with painful neuropathy needs as it increases drastically with cold. I ended up having to sleep in my daughters toy hauler due to intense pain in my legs. Water was not working and I even texted the owner the next day if there was maybe a valve that we had not turned on. He stated to check the lines but it could very possibly be that the water pump had gone out. My husband and our friend went into town and bought gallons of water so we could cook and wash up after we spent ***** to have the water filled in the toy hauler for use. We paid for the gas for the generator to spill out cold air during the night when we needed just heat. I tried to use the microwave to cook and the generator was not strong enough so all lights went out. Water leaked out around the toilet, but yet no water would work in the faucets. We never even figured out where the water was coming from. No full size kitchen, but two burners. No dinette. If I had not been so overwhelmed by my diagnosis I might have investigated them more, but when my husband spoke to the owner about the rental and the necessities it would have he believed he would be true to his word which was not the case unfortunately. And I too believe that companies will do what they say they will do. Thank you for all your help and helping us resolve this issue. ***********************************
