      My wife and I rented a trailer from Cruise America for our wedding weekend and the rental was an unmitigated disaster! When we arrived for our scheduled pick up, not only was the trailer NOT ready, it took them another hour and a half to get it ready! Finally, we drove the trailer straight to our destination 120 miles away, only to find out they ***** supply any of the equipment necessary to level the unit (no actual level or the shaft to secure the feet) or hoses to connect to city water. Luckily, people we were with had an extra water hose or we would not have had any water at all, which actually ***** matter because the water pump did not work. Without the water pump working, there was no way to flush the winterizing chemicals from the system, resulting in non-potable water, period. And because the water pump was broken, we had absolutely no way of using the restroom, taking a shower, or brushing our teeth, which actually ***** matter, because the hot water heater did not work and we had no hot water! But wait, theres more. *** sewer connection hose was too short to reach the port as well. Want more? At one point we heard a beeping emanating from the trailer only to find it filled with smoke from the heater! We called the customer support line and spent over an hour on the phone troubleshooting the heater, water pump and water heater with no resolution. After getting off the phone, my husband spent another hour troubleshooting the water heater while texting with the customer service rep. *** customer service rep ***** even have the right schematics for the trailer to be able to troubleshoot the problem.Not only did our trailer not work, but friends that rented identical units for our wedding weekend had the same issues we did. After realizing there were too many issues to even make our stay minimally comfortable we called again and were told the only way they could help us was if we drove the trailer all the way back to the dealer for service!! This was an impossibility for obvious reasons.From Cruise Americas own website: Our customers tend to drive to remote places, so we want to be sure they can make it there safe and sound. Apparently that does not include making sure each unit has the tools and equipment necessary to set up correctly. What if we had been in one of those remote places with no help from friends? And your travelers assistance line was useless. You advertise that they are there for you but that couldnt be further from the truth. Upon returning the unit to the dealer and explaining everything that went wrong, we were offered a paltry $250 credit voucher to come back again. We told the manager that was unacceptable and he said he would call corporate. After supposedly speaking with them, he relayed that the corporate office ***** even offer that much of a credit. Again, completely unacceptable.We will not sign the release paperwork and are demanding a full refund. We DO NOT want a credit for another trip because this seems to happen every time someone rents from you. Why would we waste ANOTHER vacation with you!? You have said that you reached out to us but that is NOT true. *** email you sent to us is not the correct email address that was provided to you. We would like a response!!

      Hello my name is *********************** I rented a 30ft rv from cruise america and from the start of the trip its been a nightmare to say the least . We got about 75 miles from the pick up location and tried to fill the fresh water tank and guess what it started to poor out the bottom of the rv . So i called where i rented it from and the said to call customer service so i did after explaining we got the camper so we wouldnt have to stop so often and we could us the bathroom on here the customer service rep said she have someone call me back in ***** min . Nope no calls for 3 plus hours when they finally called back the wanted me to crawl under the rv and check the tank and . I said no that i wasnt my job . O and mean while we tried to use the plug in to charge are phones well guess what 1 worked out of 3 . The rep then said to pull the fuse panel I said not a chance if something happens it will be on me . She then said there was no one to work on the camper till tomorrow . So we drove thought the night to get to are location and waited for a call . Mean while during hook up we found the sewer hose was broken and that shower head was broken and shooting water everywhere. Then the lights didnt work above the cook top and the fan for the cook top doesnt work . I spent days and hours on the phone trying to get someone to help . I got a call saying i could go to ************** for repair I said i was in ***************. He said sorry ill call you back on monday . No phone call back I then called Crusie america near me and talk to them they said i could drive over there but they dont keep ************* so it be a day or more . At this point we are on are way back . I have spent hundreds of dollars on rooms on this trip due to not being able to cook shower or use it for what i rented it for . This is not ok ! I want a refund and money back for my rooms . RA#********-RES# ****** $1895.06 dates were 3/15/2023-3/24/23.The place were i rented was a joke to horrible people!

      It has been 3 and a half days since dropping off the ** and no emails have been sent to me nor has anyone from cruise America try to resolve any of the matters at hand . Me and my family are out a lot of money and time . The trip was a bust thank to the rv not being up to par! The owners of the site were i rent the rv even said they couldnt do anything for me . And that the in courage file a report . Instead of sleeping i rented cabins and rooms on my trip . I couldnt shower and had a sewer hose that was broken and the stove and range wasnt working . They said this has happen before due to the lack ov cruise america not fixing items . There are a lot of things filed about cruise america do to the problems with there campers . Where does it end and why are all the customers paying the price . And not Cruise america !

      Good evening they sent me an email offering 60dollars hurry car and one night off of rental witch was 95 dollars ! Really lol ok they are trying to blame us for all of the problems ! After the rental place said sorry they were sick and didnt have time to really look around the camper . The guys said he is sorry and he want the people that rent i to bring it to his attention but when they want to charge you for everything why would you tell them wheats wrong with it ? And for the rentals place to want to cab here me 67!dollars to winterrive it and the didnt even do it   really ! This has happen to many of people and they truly dont care ! The rental place offer me 2 night off   Now cruise america offered me less ? Really ? Dont rent from them they are the worst people to deal with and dont care about you or your trip they just want money ! Thats why so many people file this paper work ! Dont deal with them they are a horrible company and dont care about what they rent they care about their money ! Renters beware ! More popes pleas share your trip and this log will be filled up ! Stop renting junk

      We tried to pick up an RV at **** from the ********* office. The first two didn't work and we finally left there at **** thinking we had a good RV. The heater fuse failed at **** and we nearly froze to death. We followed their detailed instructions on filling the water and the tank was broken so we found an Airbnb and parked the broken RV. The refrigerator never worked and the front tire kept needing air. We called them to come and bring us a working RV and they said they would call back. They didn't. They didn't return my email either. I spent hours on hold trying to get some resolution. They told me they would charge $150 to pick it up so I returned it to their location. I emailed again and they didn't respond. We only have one week a year for vacation and most of it was spent dealing with Cruise America's extremely poor service. The day after it was originally supposed to be returned, they charged my card again so I was double charged for a useless RV that we used for one freezing night.

      This event occurred on February 18, 2023. We rented an ** the gas tank was only filled 1/4 of the way upon purchase. We packed the ** that night and prepared for our trip. We filled the tank to full on February 19, 2023, and drove to Tahoe. When we arrived in Tahoe we realized the gas tank was leaking from an area that had been patched. We called Traveler's Assistance provided by Cruise America. We were told they could not help us until the following day. We parked the ** and stayed somewhere else because it smelled of gasoline. The following day we were contacted by Cruise America that the ** had to be moved because the police were concerned about it leaking on the street. They were unable at that time to get us a replacement ** until possibly later in the day, if at all. We were then told that we could take an uber home from Tahoe at our expense. We had no other choice but to drive the ** back to ********** leaking gas. We contacted **************** **** and informed them we were bringing the ** back. At the time she was dealing with another customer with a leaking gas tank and had to call us back. We were told we would be refunded the trip since our vacation had to be canceled. When we arrived the mechanic was on site and agreed that it was leaking at the patch site. She wanted us to sign paperwork but was unable to get into the ** as it was being fixed. She stated she would email the forms. We never signed anything. We were shocked when she emailed us a bill for $766.37. We were charged on the credit card $1990.27. with a $300 deposit. We were refunded $1500 on our credit card. Leaving us with a charge of $ 790. 27. We had put $115 in gas. So we paid $905.27 for a vacation we were unable to enjoy. She admitted their fault. Also, when asked if the tank had been checked for leaks she told us that it would cost too much money in gas to do that. I would like to be refunded the $905.27 that we have spent on this trip.

      Repair order038371, I brought my car 2012 ***** cruze to **************** on 12/30/22. Car was overheating and info center said low oil pressure. Turn motor off. Being a mechanic for 30 years worki g in several shops, I am very familiar with time frames and diagnosing car problems. I explained to them that i thought it was a blown head gasket and posible oil pump pick up tube clogged or pump bad. They gave me an est. And we arranged to have my car brought in the next day.I was given around about est time of 7 to 10 days to fix. 12 days had past and i havent heard from them so i went fown there.They said they were waiting on headgasket set, and were still taking head off and taking for inspection.I told them to call me when they new anyth I ng about head i spection and a time frame job being done. 10 days later i get a call saying i have a cracked cam.need new one.sonow the car has been there 22days and they just now got the head off. Another week goes by still no call. I go down there agai. They say they took head to shop havent got it back yet.ask them to call me when they know something.another week goes by, i go there again mechanic isnt there but he eill call me as soon as he gets back. No call im busy out of town working borrowing car.i get back a week later go down there. Head shop still has head.this is going on 3 weeks now that shop has head.I decide to check on other shops and prices.avg price is1500.00 to do this repair and tjme is 5 working days ...im being charged ******* and its been 45 days without my car and still not fixed.now i get call they say something else is wrong with car ..oil pump bad going to take 10days to fix and another ******* cost.my car was suppost to be done last friday i go there today witch is 27 of feb2023 and they are telling me its my fault that i didnt tell them about oil pump.and my car wont be ready until next friday.since when is it customers responsibility to diagnose car for mechanic.i feel im being overcharged.

      We have attempted to contact the customer resolution team at ******************** and after 3 weeks have had no response. We were given an email address to contact and told that was our only way to resolution. RES#: ****** We picked up the ** for a two week vacation down the coast. Upon getting to our first stop, we discovered the water system wasn't working. When filled up with water and the pump turned on water sprayed out of the top of the bathroom faucet. We made several calls to cruise america help line. We were told we would get a call back and they were researching the issue. By the 5th day of our trip with no water we had enough and decided to go to the nearest cruise america location which was in ****. We called the help line and told them we were heading to that location and wanted the water fixed, a different ** or we would be dropping it off there and requesting a full refund. After much back and forth and being told that the **** location couldn't help **, they tried to get us to go to ********* instead. We then told them they needed to outsource the fix or we would be dropping off the **. They did find a place in **** to fix the water issue. After 5 days of no water at the end of the last day it was finally fixed. We leave and think all is good. We then discover that the shower doesn't work, It hadn't been dewinterized or something. Again we were stuck in a loop of waiting for call backs and getting things fixed. We decided to just deal with it not working for the remainder of the trip given that we had already spent half the vacation going hundreds of miles out of our way to get the water issue fixed. This completely messed up our vacation as we intended to stay off grid. With no water and no working shower were were stuck staying at full facility parks. We are seeking 50% refund ($1,554.29) given the issues we had that ruined our trip.

      I rented a compact ** from ***** November from one location in ********, ** and got a call from corporate office that the location I was to rent from would be closed down by the time my reservation would start. They put me in a larger ** because I was told they did not have any compact **s at this location and they made me drive 60 miles out of the way to get this new ** and I asked for compensation for the inconvenience of mileage and gasoline that this company would charge me. The broker said she did not have the authority to ***** me that and when I wanted to ask to speak to a manager, she said that was not possible.When I went to the other location they had the four compact **s on the lot to rent out but would not let me switch it because it was not "road ready" after being returned to their site. There were multiple issues with the ** they put us into that were unacceptable and unsafe for business and when I tried to complain, they did nothing. The wipers did not work, it was dangerous to drive in the rain in ********, **, where it rained half the time of our rental, causing us to delay our trip and limit our driving. The Cigarette Lighter did not work so we could not charge our phones or GPS while driving. The Timing belt and the engine made a horrible squealing noise when driving past 50MPH, making us have to drive very slow for fear of breaking down. The shower/bathroom had a Leak so it would flood when it rained. The Black water tank was 1/3 full on pickup and the Dirty toilet had f**** in it that wouldn't flush and a dirty shower with mud inside. I was so frustrated when they would not fix our issues or compensate us for the dangerous and unsafe ****** made for an unpleasant experience, and the corporate office would not escalate our issues above to a manager. And they did not compensate me for driving an extra 60 mile detour in mileage and fuel cost of the ** because they messed up the reservation and closed a location our of my control.

      They never responded to my complaint when I sent an email to their request below. I feel ignored by this company.

      I want them to address this issue, not ignore me. They must not respond to that email they provided or they just intentionally chose to ignore me.

      I purchased a used RV, September 2022 and I have been trying to get the registration so that I can park it legally on the streets and drive it, I have been working diligently for 2 mos to get this done and still unable to get answers yet I am making monthly payments.       Cruise America advertises renting well maintained RVs/Motorhomes with fresh water toilets, furnace, a fridge and other amenities. But all of it is false advertising. They do not provide all the amenities listed on their website and eventually blame their customers for any and all issues in the car. When contacting them in regards to compensation since the rental price includes such amenities they attempt to blame the customers. We slept in 10 degree weather in a giant tin can with a broken furnace powered on by propane. The stove works, the heater does not and somehow they want to blame us, the customers, for possibly breaking the propane part of the *** If that was the case the stove would not work. Their toilet leaked the entire trip, and eventually stopped working and f**** water overflowed into the vehicle. When trying to get their assistance we are told that these are not essential to a vehicle, which is correct but Cruise America does not rent cars. They rent motorhomes. At no point did they offer to compensate us for the fact that 2 of the main amenities essential to motorhomes were not functioning. They push the idea that a sane person would rent a 30 ft long truck just to spend an absurd amount of money on gas, and having to make multiple stops to use the restroom hindering the gas mileage causing us to spend even more money driving a broken motorhome across the USA. Their employees pretend to not understand what you are saying, leave you on hold for 40 plus minutes, hang up on you and make empty promises of scheduling service. And to make things better repair time is on the customers time, and if vehicle is not returned by its due date they not only fine you but allege they have the power to issue an arrest warrant. This business is corrupt. And use fake advertising to lure customers to spend a decent amount of money for a service they do not provide.

      Since September 17, 2022, I have been trying to contact Cruise America regarding my reservation complaint under RA#********. After numerous phone calls/emails, I have not received a reply regarding my request for resolution. We rented an ** from 9/08/22 -9/16/22 for a one-way trip across the country and returned it early on 9/15/22 due to all of the issues we experienced with the vehicle. During the entire trip, I communicated to Cruise America and they noted our account. Starting on Day 2, the passenger side mirror broke creating a driving hazard. The gas on the stovetop started having problems. On Day 3, the gas on the stovetop stopped working completely & the water pump stopped working. This was communicated to *************************** said they would try to schedule service. Every day I called after that, they said the same thing, but were unable to schedule service. From that day forward, we did not have access to the facilities & started booking ** parks in order to use restrooms/showers. The entire reason we rented an ** in the first place was to have the facilities & a place to cook meals onboard. Between 9/13/22 & 9/14/22, we were pulled over by the police on two separate occasions for illegal license plates. The police told us that it is illegal to have two different license plates ********************** and also the tags were expired. They treated my whole family like criminals, interrogating us on the side of the road for hours. Our week-long road trip turned into a ************** did not receive assistance for the issues with the *** We would have been better off renting a ************* In addition to dealing with the ** issues, my family was put at risk driving cross country with different plates & expired tags. The amount of stress this whole experience has put on my family is unexplainable. For the amount of pain & suffering my family has experienced, due to Cruise Americas negligence, I am requesting full compensation. The total amount is $2,912.23
