My caretaker was opening my 2015 open range residential 5th wheel slides and one popped.I was en route home to ******* from *******. He called streamline rv repair and ****** (the owner) came out and said 2 cables needed to be replaced. He said he replaced the cables and when he moved the slide they snapped again. He told me on the phone the problem was my refrigerator weighed too much. This refrigerator has been in place for more than 3 years. He would not leave my home until payment was made. I paid over the phone as my care taker needed to leave. When I got home, I called some reputable repair shops and they said my slides for my year and model have a tricky system and if they are not synchronized correctly will snap new cables. They said if my refrigerator has been in place that long, there is no way it would snap new cables. So I disputed the charges with my bank and I received my money back. I did send streamline $250.00 for his service call and the cost of the 2 cables that he broke! My bank later reversed the dispute saying he did provide service. That was never my complaint. So now he has $1, ****** of my money ( the initial charge was $1,500 + $250.00 I paid) and my rv is still not fixed and he is claiming he never received the $1,500 from my bank. He should have never worked on my rv when he stated the slide was too heavy when he was getting it un stuck. He didn't know how to do my cable system and blamed it on my refrigerator. When I looked at his website, it doesn't even mention he repairs slide outs. The specs for my rv state full size refrigerator. I have damage from him attempting to fix my rv.He is not an honest person, he stated in a text message, it took him 12 hours to get my slide un stuck, yet my care taker text me he was installing cables 2 hours after he arrived

Hello, I am the Tech that worked on the *** ********* care taker stated when went to extend the slide, it made a loud pop and the slide was on a tilt and stuck half way out of the *** At first glance it looked as if the cables had snapped. I was able to get one cable installed and attempted to install the second, however the slide would have to be lifted in its upright position in order to gain access to the cable mechanism. When lifted, the slide would move freely, however when the weight of slide out was so significant that it would not allow the slide to move freely, causing damage to the mechanism. I would also like to note that the slide could only be lifted so far, so access was extremely limited for cable installation. With this in mind I decided to attempt to remove the fascia that covered the mechanism for the slide and learned that the system was previously repaired from another provider due to finding adhesives and fasteners that prevented the fascia from being removed. My third option was to remove all of the cables to the slide to push the slide to the correct position for cable installation. NOTE: the slide should be able to be pushed by hand when all cables are removed. After removing all of the cables to the slide I found the slide wouldn't move at all unless assisted by lifting the bottom of the slide indicating the weight of the slide is the culprit to the cable system. I found the factory fridge was replaced with a residential, which is not rated for the slide due to its weight. I eventually gained access to the top of the cable mechanism to find bent/ damaged hardware indicating the system was on borrowed time and the slide in fact was being pushed beyond its capabilities, due to the weight added by the aftermarket refrigerator.
I immediately notified the customer that the weight of the refrigerator is the culprit and would need to be removed, and the cables mechanism would need to be replaced.

I contacted the manufacturer of my rv and the refrigerator that is in place is an acceptable replacement for the original refrigerator. He failed to mention the damage he did attempting to take the facet off. I have texted with them again regarding the extra $250.00 that he received, he is still stating he has not received payment. My bank said for him to check with **** or his banking institution. I also requested a physical address to send correspondence  and have not received a response. I believe, if people are over their heads in a job they should be up front and honest and not just rack up a bill and leave their customer left with a situation worse than when they started.I was receiving daily and weekly text messages to pay my invoice. Since my bank reversed the dispute and paid him, I have not received one notification.
