I got a car for $8,000 from Trucks and Imports and I was told that it had a clean title. I have now been paying $300 a month for 3 years which is well over $8,000 and when i ask for a copy of my contract and payments i was denied. I had a ****** dealership look up my car on carfax and i found out that the car has had 7 owners and 3 accidents. I have been paying more than what i owe and he will not tell me how much i still owe on the car because he will not provide me with the paperwork.

This is my response to complaint #******** The person making the complaint is NOT the legal owner of the car. Her mother ****** **** signed all paperwork and is the legal owner of the car. The car had a Clean Title the day it was purchased and STILL has a Clean Title as of today. The total $ paid to my dealership for the car as of the complaint date is only $7,367 NOT (well over $8,000) listed in the complaint. I told the daughter that I could only give a copy of the contract and payoff information to her mother (the legal owner of the car). I also informed her that the car payment was 2 months in arrears and when her mother came in with her next payment that I would give her any paperwork she requrest. To this date ****** has not come in with a car payment. The ONLY repairs that I am aware of on the car over a 3 year period are the replacement of the car battery, replacement of some battery cables and the replacement of a coolant thermostat. The total amount of repairs $ paid by the customer over 3 years of ownership is a few hundred dollars (none of which was paid to my dealership). She should be extremely happy with the lack of repair $ spent. She is still over 2 months late on her car payment so I ended up repoing the car. I offered via email to ****** **** to come in with $1,000 and I would write off any unpaid balance. This would have allowed her to drive a car for 3 years and pay a grand total of ONLY $367 in interest. She neglected to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity! I am no longer interested in dealing with ****** or her daughter. Bruce *****, Owner Trucks and Imports

My mother has not once paid a payment to Trucks and Imports, I have been the one paying for the car so the statement of “To this date ****** has not come in with a car payment.” is irrelevant because i have been the one coming in for 3 years to pay the car off. Bruce ***** gave me a deal that if I paid $1,040 for the car then the car would be mine but i would have to remove my complaint from the Better Business Bureau. Before I purchased the car I asked various times if the car works and if it would start he told me yes bc it “started a few times” The car has had issues starting for the past 2 months, which he knew. After i received the car I drove it to work and parked the car, when I got off work and tried to start the car it failed to start once again. I immediately called Bruce and he told me he “didnt know” bc it started 3 times before (It has been known that the car will start after not running for a few weeks.) and to call the mechanic (Redd’s Automotive) that does cars for him and has been repairing my car since the start of the issues. Bruce referred me to this shop. When I called (Redd) the mechanic he immediately told me there was an issue with my starter but he was not able to tell me since Bruce told him that he was “handling” the customer. I tried to come to some conclusion about the car and Bruce basically said its not his problem. I have now paid $1,040 for a car that doesnt start and is stuck at my job. I have never heard of a business doing work like this I am extremely upset considering the fact that the car hasnt run for 2 months and Bruce ***** didnt take the time to at least check the car before selling it to me. No matter the circumstances he sold me a car that he knew wasn’t completely fixed and did not tell me, and lied about it after i asked several times. The attachments show the receipts of the repairs to the car, that Bruce ***** very much knew about. The attachments also show the emails between me and Bruce.

Redd's Automotive is an independent auto repair shop that is NOT affiliated in anyway with Trucks and Imports. The car has an intermittent issue with the starter (after 3 years of ownership). The only reason Redd's Automotive did not replace the starter is because Daiyah told Redd on the phone to NOT perform any service on the car unless she Authorized him to do so. She never did this. I did not sell her a car that does not run. I sold her mother a mechanically sound and perfectly running car THREE years ago. Her mother, the legal owner of the car is 100% responsible for the maintenance of the car after THREE years of ownership. The car started immediately the day it was repoed. The car started immediately this week when Daiyah came to my dealership to payoff the car. I accepted $1040 (the $40 was the balance she had failed to pay Redd from the intial repair) as full and final payment on her mother's  loan. I wrote off $1,000s of $ of payments still owed to the dealership. I asked her to remove the initial complaint to the BBB because the $ amount she claimed she had already paid to the dealership for the car was inaccurate and because I could not legally give to Daiyah any car loan information because the loan was not in her name. Daiyah was consistently late or "short" on the car payments over the course of the loan and her mother (the legal owner of the car) consistently failed to pay her monthly car insurance  (which was a violation of her car loan contract). I have been more than helpful to both daughter and mother over the last 3 years. When they lost or quit a job I "gave them time" to make their car payments and to get caught back up on their car insurance payments. I got very tired of that. Enough is enough. I finally repoed the car after they fell 2 months behind on their car payments. After 3 years of ownership, mother and daughter are 100% responsible for all maintenance costs for THEIR car, NOT my  dealership. They have not made a car payment in over 2 months. They can use the unpaid car payment $ to pay Redd for the starter repair.  Mother or daughter needs to call Redd, authorize the replacement of the starter and be thankful I wrote off $1000's of $ on thr car loan. This is my final response to this or any other complaint on this vehicle. Bruce *****, Owner Trucks and Imports

Regardless of anything you do not sell someone a car that u didnt even test out to see if it worked. I told Redd before it was Repoed to reach out and tell me but to not do work on it.I will state this once again. He said that he didnt even contact me about the car because Bruce told him not to. I will not be responding to irrelevant information, the insurance was my moms part of the car and I didnt pay for 2 months because it was stuck at my house not running, and as far as I knew the car was paid off. (Miscommunication with mother). But again that is all irrelevant. As of recently, I still paid $1,040 (the 40 was actually for the tow guy and i told him to come get it from me and he never did.) for a car that i didnt know still had issues. I would have been satisfied if I knew the car needed repair, because then i would have waited longer. In conclusion Trucks and Imports had been the worst company to work with and I am not satisfied. I gave my entire check for a car that doesnt start.
