    Terrible service and grossly overcharged! Called Horizon on 6/19/24 and spoke to *** to extract a small portion of carpet in a 10x12 bdrm that had gotten some water as a result of a wtr heater leak on the other side of the wall. I asked him to simply extract any excess water(roughly 3ftX 10ft) and place 2-fans. *** promised fans would be picked up 2-days later and the carpet re-tacked then. Subsequently, no one showed up on Friday afternoon as promised so I called and told by **** that the owner(***) was "off" Friday. At first **** told me he'd try to have someone out the next week, I advised **** that the occupant of this Leased home is a single woman and that I could not ask her to be inconvenienced until the following week. At that point upon my insistence, he said he'd "try" to get someone out on Saturday. A tech did show up then unannounced although **** told me I'd be called in advance. One of the worst parts to this story is that Horizon then invoiced me $200 for extraction of a roughly 3ftX10ft area AND an additional $120 for "cleaning/enzymes" which I did not request and which was not needed. Also another $140 for 2-fans and YET ANOTHER $160 to pick up the fans(late!) and re-tack the end of the carpet(a ten minute job!). The grand total was $620 to address a 3'X10' section of carpet! I own and manage rental properties and have never seen egregious charges like this for carpet extraction services on such a small area. I should mention that service was not requested nor performed after hours. I regard the experience as an unbelievable ripoff.
