    On August 20th, 2024 I contacted ***** ******* with Creative Edge Tile and Stone to provide design consultation for my home residence renovation. Over the course of the next few weeks, we visited tile, flooring, slab retailers, selected finishes and reserved slabs, and also designed a full renovation of kitchen, bar, and bathroom cabinets. I also purged my home of furniture as well as fixtures in anticipation of full demo work. On Sept 20, 2024, *****, after weeks of active design consultation, persuaded me to provide a substantial deposit in the amount of $36,000 to begin the home renovation project with her partner, **** ******, a contractor also with Creative Edge Tile and Stone, with a full scope to include new cabinet installation, new flooring, labor, etc., without a written contract (only an estimate of costs). Upon receiving the funds via wire transfer, their communication significantly slowed, no materials were ever ordered, and no further labor/work commenced on my behalf for over 2 months. Suspecting a scam, on November 27, ******************************************* full. I was told by ***** the money was gone, spent on their customers, and non-refundable. After numerous and repeated requests to have my funds returned after realizing I had been deceived, I partially succeeded, with $10,000 returned to me on Feb 5, 2025, a partial payment I was hoping would be more. They continue to withhold over $20,000 in funds. I suspect they are employing this scam tactic with other consumers, essentially persuading clients to make large deposits for projects that could never commence for their unsuspecting consumers who have limited recourse.
