I adopted a dog from this "rescue" at the end of January. 1st red flag: The ****** met me outside and I was not able to see where the dog was kept. The dog I met was friendly and appeared healthy. I asked health information up front as there is a senior dog in my home. I was told the dog was up to date on all shots and healthy. I asked how the dog was with cats and was told I could take him home and see how he did (this was my mistake, while I thought is sounded like a good "trial run", that should have set off alarm bells). I brought him home and had him 2 days. He was doing well in the home so I agreed to adopt him. 2nd red flag: I requested his medical records but had to pay first. I sent the money but did not receive records. I continued to ask for a day or two because now the dog was sneezing and coughing (mind you, the adoption contract tells you that all dogs have been exposed to kennel cough, which was not discussed before I took him home). I made an appointment with my vet and again asked for the records so I could show my vet. 3rd red flag: I was given one piece of paper that was clearly done at home and not by a medical professional. The ****** then called me and said they give the dogs the vaccines and this dog was never seen by a vet. He also had not been neutered but "was scheduled for Monday". Why was this dog placed for adoption on Petfinder with no medical care? The ****** said her personal dog was sick and so yes, this dog needs to be treated. The ****** also said the rabies vaccine expired but she hadn't noticed. Long story short, the dog had kennel cough and giardia. I had to treat my dog, the senior dog and my cat. I paid to get him neutered. They refunded me some money I requested. However, the dog continues to have health issues and we are going back to the vet in a couple days. I want to believe the best in people who rescue animals but this experience fell greatly short of what I have experienced with other rescues. Please use caution.

I had a really great experience with Adopt a Dog Rescue! I had inquired about adopting a sweet a puppy and was able to meet him soon after! They were very honest about him, his personality, his past, etc. The adoption process was very simple and they even offered to pick him up to get fixed after I had already taken him home! I have had ****** (formally Zion) for a little over 3 months now and couldnt be happier! Thank you so much Adopt a Dog Rescue for giving me my life long furry friend!

Well, well looks like I should have read the reviews first! This place should be shut down. I adopted a cat from them $350. The cat was sick, so I suggested Id take her to my clinic. They were supposed to give me a reduced adoption fee (which of course they did not). At first I figured its like a donation to help other animals, until I ended up spending another $268.00 and the cat has to go back to the vet. I contacted them and have been ignored. I believe they arent taking care of these poor animals and pocketing the money. How do you have an animal that is blind in one eye and not know about it? That poor cats behind was liked raw by her. I spoke with them 2 weeks before picking her up and they did absolutely nothing. Very conveniently, I have no names and the address where I picked her up from was not the fosters home, I can just imagine! THOSE HORRIFIC PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES USING POOR INNOCENT SOULS!

We had a great experience. The ****** did such a great job with our dog. Im grateful that we have **************** like her that take the time to care for abused dogs so they can have a chance at adoption. Our dog also had a great bond with his ******. She came to chip in a week after we had him, and I dont think Ive ever seen him jump any higher when he saw her.

I wish zero stats was an option. I had the same issue as ***** S! Adopted my dog without being spayed. Her spay was scheduled for 7/10 but then had to be pushed to 8/10. The night I brought her home, she was bleeding. She was bleeding internally and went into emergency surgery costing me an additional $3900 at emergency vet and then another $70 to remove her staples from the emergency surgery. I have messages from the rescue stating they will cover the costs of the emergency surgery and requested itemized bill. I provided the information and now they have gone silent on me. Won't text back or call back. I have requested copies of her rabies vaccination and copy of the contract that was signed. NOTHING! I will be taking them to court for payment.
