I am a RN who worked entire pandemic in **. I unfortunately had a house deal fall through and was subsequently priced out of the market, in ********. I was heart broken as i have a small child and i want so desperately wanted to give my son some outdoor space after all the lock downs. I subsequently found ******************** business online. We began an online correspondence, and began discussing a potential project.I expressed concerns about the possibility of that type of build as i live in westchester county, ** and its a non traditional build. ****************** assured me that she was able to build here as she had connections here and that she had performed projects like this in similar communities. *** ******* drafted a basic contract and insisted i had to pay for the containers up front as thats whats done in that type of build. I informed her that i didnt have large sums of money and that i would need to pay it in installments. ***************** stated that wouldnt be an issue. ****************** sent me a contract that i only signed because it stated if for any reason she would refund all monies paid to her should the deal fall through for any reason. I began searching for land to purchase and continued to send her money per her request. I found a great mortgage broker who was going to assist us with the purchase of the land, and the remainder of the project. ****************** began acting erratic, calling me crying stating she is being evicted and how she needs payments. The mortgage broker ***************************** sent ****************** an email asking her how much money his client (me) had sent her; ****************** stated ******. Mr. ********** informed her that the money should be sitting in an escrow account. ************************ asked ***************** for a list of standard things in order for the project to get financing for the build. ****************** then cut off communication with ***********************. ************************* suggested i contact an attorney as ***************** is refusing to refund my money.
