May 2024 I brought my *************** to have ac work done. Was told needed new ac system **** the manager explained did not have a parts driver and the ***** raidator in mesa could not deliver parts at the time. He told me it would be faster if I could go and pick up and pay for ac parts so I agreed. They had my car 5 days finally asked to pick up paid ******* dlrs in labor checked car was not blowing cold as it should plus they cracked my windshield while replacing evaporator and did not tell me talked with owner **** ** was trying g to say his mechanic did not do it explained just had a new windshield placed a month before so I know there was no crack down on bottom where evaporator was so he did replace windshield. Car was still not working correctly the car has been in there 7 times the mechanic forgot to put the evaporator seal on evaporator so it destroyed the new ac compressor I had to tell them that I believe the seal was missing do to the cold ac blowing out the evaporator box and not the vents. I went home looked on old evaporator that I told them to give back to me after new parts installed and the seal was still on evaporator drove back handed it to them and ask them to fix it correctly this time after replacing ac compressor for the 2nd time they did not change ecumalator when compressor was done so it has made the 2nd compressure freeze up and break belt and stranded me on the dessert road to fountainhills had to pay to tow car to house went to mineke talked with owner **** becuase **** was moved to another store **** refused to warranty work becuase he said I brought the parts. I explained your manager was the one who ordered them and explained where to pick up due to not having a parts driver. I explained I was never told or made aware if I picked up and paid for parts and dropped them off to them it would void warranty work. He continued to refuse any work on my car and said he would not have mechanic put anymore time on car with out being paid ??

Unfortunately, this complaint has been directed to the wrong business.  Meineke Car Care Centers are independently owned and operated by franchisees.  I do not own Meineke #**** in Mesa.  Please redirect this complaint to the appropriate entity.  Regards, ***** Leger

I recently went to get my oil changed on 9/25/24 and during the oil change, I was told my oil pan threads were stripped while changing the oil due to being told: "my car being older". Come to find out after doing my own extensive research on the causes of oil plan thread stripping and replacements, oil pan threads become stripped due to tightening the plug with an impact gun and/or overtightening the drain plug; none of which has to do with the age of my car or the way I drive. Because I did not know this at the time, I ended up paying $900 to replace the pan thinking this was a normal issue due to how the shop made me understand what happened. Now knowing that it was not and instead was the fault of those changing my oil, I would like to request a refund for the service as it was at fault of those at the shop changing my oil over the last few months not on me or the age of my car. I have been receiving oil changes from Meineke since January of 2024 so it has been this store specifically working on the oil changes and thus causing the issues. I am extremely upset about this and how I was made to feel as if it was just "a thing that can happen".

on 4/22/2023 I had Meineke store# **** replace the front and back catalytic converters on my car. RO# *****. On 10/7/2024 I noticed that my car was acting funny, so I took it to Meineke store # ****, as that one was closer and I didn't want to risk damaging my car further driving it to store ****. Store ****************************************************************************** the front, and clogged the back converter, and that both converters would have to be fixed. I called the original **** store and was told that it was outside of Meinekes 1 year warranty, and that the manufacturer (*********) also had the same 1 year warranty that Meineke has so nothing could be done. I called ********* and was told the manufacturers warranty for them was 5 years, and it sounded to them like it was a faulty part and Meineke should have covered the cost. I told store **** to go ahead and complete the work since they already had it and I was afraid to drive it to store **** RO# *****. I attempted to contact the corporate office and have them authorize store **** to do the work since it was already there, and to verify that the 5 year magnaflow warranty should have covered everything, but I never received a call back or a voicemail after being told "someone should be getting in touch within 48 hours". I had already been without my car for a week waiting on someone from corporate to call me back, so I paid store **** and kept the original faulty catalytic converters. I don't mind paying for the labor, but I would like the amount for the faulty catalytic converters refunded. I have the parts if they are needed.

I brought my 1999 ***** Corvette to ************************ on 04/10/2024. I purchased a catalytic convertor direct fit pipe assembly and asked to have it installed. When I picked up the car it had a bad vibration in the floor board. I inspected the work and found many problems. I returned to the store, told them the situation and they responded with bring it back tomorrow and we will fix it. NO THANKS, I asked for my old parts, got them and left.I took the vehicle to Apache Muffler. Their findings:- oxygen sensor crushed into the floor board - oxygen sensor cross threaded - exhaust manifold studs removed, 2 broken and drilled out off-center - 1/4 bolts and fender washers used to attach exhaust pipes to exhaust manifolds (instead of the studs)- sub par welding at every joint - exhaust pipe assembly installed at the wrong angle- towards the floor - exhaust pipes had openings cut into them to weld the top joint of the pipe, then the flaps were welded back on - exhaust pipe mount not fastened Apache muffler cut everything out and installed it properly, fixed the cross threaded oxygen sensor, added a mount and installed manifold studs

Upon receiving this complaint, we contacted ****************.  He provided us with a copy of the invoice from the shop that worked on his car's exhaust system after we had installed the catalytic converter and performed other repair work.  This invoice showed a total paid of $250 to replace some manifold bolts and correct wiring on an O2 sensor.  Because the work we performed was much more extensive than the items that were repaired, we offered to reimburse **************** a total of $250.  **************** refused our offer and again demanded a full refund.  Because the rest of the work that we performed was apparently done to his satisfaction, we are unwilling to provide a full refund.  Additionally, our warranty expressly states that taking a vehicle to a shop outside of the Meineke network will void any warranty for parts and/or workmanship.  Our offer to reimburse **************** for the $250 he spent at another shop remains on the table.

Apache Muffler redid everything Meineke did, fixed what they damaged and custom built the pipes to accommodate the catalytic convertors properly.

I wouldnt even consider letting them touch my car again, warranty or not! I have been in the same business for over 25 years and what they did tops the biggest hack job ive ever seen! There isnt a repair manual published that justifies a single thing they did.

Apache Muffler had to use alternate parts to be able to repair the damage to the exhaust manifolds. Im still not exactly happy about it but a refund from Meineke will get me over it.

My demand is simple- I want a full refund from Meineke or im taking the car to the dealer to have the exhaust manifold damage brought back to factory condition as they were before Meineke touched my car. Il then pursue action against Meineke in court for all repair costs excluding the Apache Muffler invoice.

Ive been dealing with unresolved car issues for the past 2 weeks. On Feb 20th 2024 I took my car in to have a slow oil leak fixed. They claimed it was fixed. I got my driveway cleaned then noticed there was still an oil leak. I took it back in again. They told me the *** needed to be replaced to fix the leak. After this service my car started driving horribly. The lights came on, and the RPMs started to fluctuate while the car was in park. I had the car towed back. This time they said it needed a new alternator in order to fix the issue. I approved the service. It was replaced. That night Im driving the car home and the car started to have all of the same issues leaving me stranded on the side of the road. I had to have the car towed to my house as the shop was closed the following day. Had the car towed again to the shop. This time they didnt get back to us until the next day after prompting them to give answers. They said it needed a new timing chain. After we had already spent $1400 for a problem that wasnt present until they replaced the first part. Now they were quoting me for an additional $2000!!! I have missed so many days of work, am out $1400 not including the cost of towing and getting rides. I will also have late fees since I cant renew my registration because, I cant get my car to emissions. All of this started from a small oil leak. Now I dont even have a running car. No one at this location even had the decency to keep in communication with me throughout this entire process. I tried to contact customer service and they said everything has to be handled with the location.

I reached out to this customer on 3/13 and we had a good conversation.  I offered her an apology for our poor communication throughout this repair process.  ************** shared with me that the *** solenoid that we replaced, while not technically bad, was an aftermarket part that differed slightly from the ***** original equipment part.  The ** part was installed and the car is running properly now.  I offered to refund the full amount for the *** solenoid invoice.  We also discussed the alternator replacement. She acknowledged that there were several warning lights that had illuminated on the car's dashboard.  After explaining that ************** did perform a full charging system test and found that the old alternator was only producing 11.8 volts, we recommended replacement.  The new alternator is working properly and the dash lights have not come back on.  The customer accepted this explanation.  She will return to our shop at her convenience for the *** solenoid refund.

On 10/5/2023 I took my car for a oil change and breaks for my 2016 jeep upon receiving a digital estimate for additional repairs stating these repairs were safety issue and needed repair immediately I approved the repair. Upon picking up my vehicle I was told I needed alignment but they dont have equipment to do that there. The only reason I needed alignment was because of this immediate repair to my front suspension and control arm . Before taking my car to them I wasnt having any issues with my alignment steering or suspension. so I asked to go to another location for the alignment he said no one would repair the alignment until I pay **** in other repairs. At this time I contacted their corporate office for help they told me I would have to reach out to the franchise owner for help . So I did on 1/24/24 he seen my car again and said I only needed alignment and breaks . I left the shop with No breaks I made it home and had a mobile mechanic come who said I had no breaks and a leak in the back breaks . I have emails and pictures to support what happened.

I paid over $600 to meineke on 51st avenue and ******** ******* ******* to get this situation fixed. The address the situation said that the vehicle was fixed. The next day the car is check engine light came on again I called meineke they took it back to the shop had the car for over 2 weeks ended up paying an additional four to $600. I received my vehicle back it's still was not fixed having different issues this time sputtering lights coming on. After around $4,000 my vehicle is still not fixed it's still in meineke shop it's been there for over a month. I keep calling to see how the progress is going on my vehicle they continue to tell me that my vehicle is still in the engine repair shop somewhere else. I had my niece drive by there today and she seen my vehicle in the back parking lot of meineke which means either they just got my vehicle back from the engine shop or it hasn't even made it there yet. On 7/5/22 I brought our 2017 Jeep Patriot to Meineke on ****************** in ******** for a routine oil change. Our paperwork says the tech who did the work was GH. He took photos of under the hood during service. Once completed I paid $82.96 and left. On August 30 our check engine light came on. On September 4 while out with my wife and 5 month old son our car wasnt getting any power on acceleration and kept stalling out and we were almost stranded and almost in multiple accidents. After looking under hood I found oil cap had been left off after oil change and there was oil splatter on engine, spark plugs, electrical covers, air filter and O2 sensor. I have video evidence of this. We had the vehicle towed to the same **** School Meineke where they said it was low voltage on O2 sensor. Then they backtracked and said that wasnt the issue and proceeded to blame the catalytic converter and that it was covered under warranty and to have it towed to dealership for service. Dealership performed inspection and we were told O2 sensor shorted internally causing system to perform poorly. ****** sensor was damaged due to oil being spilled on it because of Meinekes negligence. We paid $512.52 for repairs at the dealership. My wife and missed out on wages as well as having to pay for ride shares.
