    The company damaged my truck due to negligence. Without prior notification, they cut out and replaced a portion of the sidewalk. Construction occurred a foot away from my truck that was parked in my driveway. The crew realized that cement debris had hit all across the front of my truck, penetrating the paint in many areas, so they placed plastic over it afterwards. The plastic was thin, like the kind used for produce in the grocery store, so it would not have worked anyways to stop cement coming from a saw. The supervisors admitted wrong, but the company owner said my truck was not damaged by them. The truck is new, ***** miles, and a collision repair company said it would cost me over $2K to fix the paint damages. ****** wouldnt even give me their insurance information.

    Business Response

    Hello ********************,

    This is ****, Owner of  San-Co Concrete Inc. I am aware of the situation and well informed of your complaint. I have sent you an email response regarding your complaint. I understand a situation like this can be frustrating and upsetting. However, please know we at ****** Concrete, respect and value homeowners properties and their vehicles. That is why we always consider in alerting the homeowners to move their vehicles or personal property away from the work site. That morning, my crew rang your door bell to see if we could have anyone more your vehicle. After no response to the door we went ahead and covered your vehicle with a plastic before any demolition was done. It is possible that my crew might have gone started to saw cut the concrete prior to the covering, but that will not harm your vehicle or paint. Our precise demolition and the equipment we use, will not harm anything specially when covered, which we did. Now, I also understand that you removed the plastic in a mad way, cursing at my employees, which I don't see the necessity of. I had one of my supervisors **** & a supervisor from ****** meet you there to discuss the issue. Both parties are agreeing that your vehicle did NOT have ANY damages due to our demolition. Which means that, the damages that you claim have been caused by road debris, rocks, & sandstorms that every motorist have. Unfortunately, we all have those pin chips of paint like your vehicle even if its a new vehicle that is driven on a road. Remember, your vehicle is a year old, and I'm very certain that you have gotten road debris damage just like I have with all my new vehicles.

    In conclusion, I will not be responsible for damages that are, more than clear, are not mine. Hope you understand.

    To whom it may concern,

    I got the same message from ******* however, my vehicle was not covered with plastic before work started, time was not provided to me to move my vehicle prior to ************* notification prior to work was not given (30 min prior to work on a weekend am when no one was home is unsatisfactory), I didnt take the plastic off rough ( I care about my truck), I never swore once (I already informed ****** that is slander to make things up), and a concrete saw cutting within a foot of a vehicle does/did do damage to my paint as concerned by caliber collision. This company is very sub-par. The two employees started arguing about who should have notified residents about upcoming work in front of my wife, which verbalized that neither did the notification. The company was given my number, but failed to call me back. They didnt even help me wash off the cement fragments that kicked up all across the front of my vehicle, which is why I knew the vehicle was not covered with plastic when the work started.

    Respectfully,

    **********************;
