I had flood damage in my home in June of 2023, and worked with Progressive to get it repaired/resolved. Progressive contracted with American ************************* and they used ServPro of North Phoenix to do the restoration on July 13, 2023. I was planning to use them for the repair as well, as that sounded like the easiest option - it would all be handled between ASIC and ServPro.However, it has not been that easy. ServPro charged 4x the original estimate for the cleanup, eating up all the money allocated by Progressive for both the cleanup and restoration. They were then not interested in completing the restoration until they had a $10,000 payment up front. Between ASIC and ServPro, they managed to get my father's CC information. I had him cancel the card, as this was well over the $1000 deductible required by Progressive. They then proceeded to get my father's bank account information, promising to only deposit money. They placed a 20 day lien on my home, and indicated it was no big deal. I called them out on all of this, and they are still trying to get $1000 deductible, even though Progressive has already taken the $1000 deductible. The whole process has been very shady. I simply want to ensure that they did not get overpaid by Progressive for services, and I can be reimbursed properly from Progressive so I can get the restoration taken care of myself.I also want to know what this 20 day lien thing is, and how to get it resolved, if that is needed.
