On July 2nd I was contacted *** by the City of Phoenix regarding an unusual water usage at my residence. I immediately had a plumber to my residence to investigate any potential leak and to resolve any issue identified. With no luck locating any leak or plumbing issue at my residence or in the surrounding area, I contacted the city of Phoenix once again. The city sent a representative on July 3rd to my residence where once again no one was able to identify a leak or location. I was told the city meter was not the issue and even though a leak was not identified through ground probing, the leak must be within my yard and not the city of Phoenix's responsibility. No leak was identified however it was advised this must be the homeowners responsibility. As such I contact a local plumber where I out of pocket paid $1500 to have a new water line from the city meter to my residence installed. During installation, again no leak was identified and thus the leak was undetectable. After completion (while I was on vacation), I contacted the city once again to discuss options available. My only option presented was to pay nearly $1000 out of pocket for an undetectable leak which no-one could evidence. I asked for a supervisor however as no-one was available, I asked for a call back, 1 week later, I received a callback. Upon my most recent contact, spending 30 minutes with a representative, no additional options were presented. Contacting a supervisor once again led to minimal empathy to the situation and only to pay nearly 1 years worth of water usage for 1 month. I spoke with a further manager and again, no other option presented. The prior month to this in May, I paid double my normal water usage and now being asked to pay nearly a years use for 1 month was unacceptable. am not looking for a handout however some empathy and at minimum a 1 time consideration for an undetectable leak as I have been a customer for 15 years. Please assist as every $ counts today

I had water service with the city of phoenix since December 2020. I shut off service December 2022 because I moved. When I moved they sent me a final bill that was 5 times what my monthly bill should have been. I called to find out if my disconnect service request had gone through and maybe that was the reason for the huge bill but they in turn tell me that they back billed me because they made a mistake when billing me for ***** and May of 2022. I paid every bill they sent me and some months I paid the 2x the billed amount so some months I had a credit. I have paid my bill on time every month yet I am being wrongly billed and they will not fix it instead they are telling me they made a mistake in the billing and reading and I need to pay more for the bills because they wrongly billed me. I have moved and they are threatening to send my account to collections and I don't want, need or deserve to have my account sent to collections because I paid the bills that were sent to me. They never told me anything about owing them more money until I moved out. I think they are wrong and need to adjust my final bill so I can pay the correct amount. I don't want them messing up my credit. I worked hard to maintain and build my credit and I pa all of my bills on time as they are sent to me.
