This company did a nice job on my bathroom renovation but failed to complete their contract obligations. I contracted with Buildco in 2019 to do both a bathroom renovation and a refinishing of the front entry wood door. The bathroom was completed in early 2020 but the door refinishing was deferred as this is a vacation home and we had to return to ****** before they could complete it. Then the pandemic hit and everything was put on hold for more than two years. I contacted the Project Manager, ****, this Spring to get the work done and he said that he was too busy with his own personal home renovation but that he would take care of it once he was done. We eventually agreed (in writing by email) to have the work done in July of this year. When it came time to set up the work **** went silent. Would not respond to emails. I contacted the owner of the company, *****, who assured me that he would follow up. He too was unable to get a response form his own project manager! After several frustrating attempts to get ***** to honor his contract or provide me with a refund he finally responded by offering to provide me with contact names of companies that could do the work. He expected me to hire someone else to do the work that I had pre-paid him for and essentially pay twice! Taking someone's money and then refusing to do the work is fraudulent in my opinion. Unfortunately the multiple bad reviews listed below were not there when I first hired Buildco but obviously something has happened that turned a competent contractor into a sketchy risk at best.
