Canyon pipeline has been contracted with *************** and the ******************* to replace an existing gas line along **** west. Since the commencement of this project, they have taken use of the road to not only store and weld their pipe, but to house vehicles, tractors and bull dozers, which has reduced the width of the road to only allow for traffic in one direction. As a result of this poorly managed project, they've given those that need to travel south or to adjacent neighbors a free for all through neighboring streets. You think with a project of this size and magnitude, they would utilize signage to educate drivers of road closures prior to routing them down narrow, residential streets, but no, the only signage they've used is to barricade roads and speed limit signs to keep their workers safe. This project was supposed to include multiple agencies to attempt to control traffic and avoid the use of residential streets, for the safety of the citizens, yet due to their negligence, vehicles are traveling down neighboring streets at double the speed limit. There has been no efforts to direct traffic, utilize signs, educate drivers, closing off certain sections rather than an entire mile plus of a highly utilized road, no communication between the city, police or neighborhoods about project length but instead employees have been rude during interactions, or even allowing traffic on both directions at high demand times. This company seems to be poorly managed and hence, their trickle down effect is putting citizens and children at risk. Attempted to contact a superintendent and no return phone call. Seems to be a common occurrence with this company and their neglect, their project on **** s/3200 w followed suite too.
