I hired **** from Pavers and More LLC to do some pavers in my side yard. He came over and did an estimate in August of 2022. We original had it scheduled to be done in September 2022 but when I called to have it rescheduled due to some travel I had come up, he told he would have to do it in October 2022 anyway due the rain and supply chain issues. He said he would call me to set up a date, I never heard from him again. He mentioned to me several times my job was smaller than what he usually does and would not be a priority, but was doing it as a "favor" to me because I lived close by. I've tried contacting him and get no response, the number on the invoice answers but claims that this isn't his number anymore. He took $990 from me for a deposit and disappeared. He also refused to take payment via debit card and would only accept checks and cash because he didn't want to pay fees and ensure that people were actually giving him money.Initial Complaint

My husband and I hired **** to do some pavers in our back yard. He came over and did an estimate in November of 2022. He said he would have it done before Christmas. He never showed up to do the work. He then told my husband that he was in the hospital with kidney failure. I don't know if this is true, but it looks like he has been taking money from other people and not doing the work. Now, he doesn't answer his phone, there is no one managing his business and he took $1500 from us for a deposit and disappeared.Initial Complaint

On October 22, 2022 we met with the owner *************************** of Pavers and More, LLC regarding our backyard. **** agreed to pave our backyard in the first week of December. I met with **** on 11/2/22 and gave him $8000.00 in cash for our **** sq ft of pavers. I was told by text there were delays and then he was hospitalized. I would text him to get updates and he last time he texted was January 6, 2023 saying he was coordinating the job. After that I texted him twice and my husband texted once eventually asking for a full refund. We have heard nothing from **** since.Business Response

On 10/5/22 I signed a contract with the owner of Pavers and More ********************* to install pavers and artificial turf at my home. I paid a $7500 down payment with work to begin 12/5.No one ever showed up and after calling and texting *************** every day for the entire month of December he texted me stating he was sick, getting out of the business and would not honor the contract or pay me back the deposit. We got a quote for our backyard and side yard to have pavers installed by Pavers and More , LLC. from ***************************. The date of the quote was 11/8/2022 and we provided a check #*** in the amount of $1600.00 for 1/2 the work to be done on December 10th. The work was supposed to be completed before Thanksgiving. Over the course of the next few ************************** kept giving ********************* excuses as to why the work couldn't be done and kept putting it off. On December 10th, 2022 I called ******* and left a message. I called again on Monday the 12th and left another message. He called me the next day apologizing that he didn't return my call but was in the hospital. At that time I informed him that I was not a new client and I'm inquiring about the $1600.00 check he cashed and did not perform the work. he told ********************* at he would return the check in the mail. We never received it. Then he said he was in the hospital and couldn't. I told him that he could return potential customer calls but not calls that he was suppose to complete the work for. I gave him the option to return my money or do the work. I sent him a text message on December 13th with my Venmo information. Never got a response. On December 16th, I sent him another message with a picture of the work to be completed and asking again to send me the money back. We still have not heard back from ***************************. We are requesting a refund of the $1600.00 that we paid half down for.Initial Complaint

On Aug 6, 2022 I paid $3260.00 in cash for a home project to be completed (have pavers installed at my home) and the owner signed a receipt acknowledging payment in full received with a completion of the project to be done by Aug, 2022. The project has never started and I canceled it mid Oct. I requested a full refund in which the owner acknowledged and agreed in text message a full refund of the money I paid ($3260) but has not returned it. I have informed him I would be contacting the BBB and any other legal means to collect. I am requesting a full refund of the money paid for a project that was never even started by this company.
