  My husband and I hired MasterAZscapes to install irrigation and plants throughout our backyard in March of this year. We had a few issues with our backyard after installation, and after calling **** to get these issues fixed he immediately started pointing the finger at my husband and I. WE were blamed for not knowing a plant was poisonous, even though we hired a "PROFESSIONAL" LANDSCAPING DESIGN COMPANY. We payed MasterAZscapes almost $8,000 for our landscaping and somehow we as customers are the idiots for not knowing landscaping?? I am not exaggerating when I say that as soon as you have an issue with this company EVERY SINGLE PERSON you talk to will A) Argue with you, B) Not take any accountability, C) Blame YOU, the customer.Not only did we have an issue with the tree, but our irragation that we paid for was NOT TURNED ON. So we had brand new plants not getting watered!I called ***** (the operations manager) to have **** come out and fix our landscaping. Once again, all of my phone calls with ***** she was incredibly rude, argumentative, and constantly playing the blame game.After being so fed up with my experience with this company I told ***** that I will be writing a bad review because I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism I've experience. ***** sent my husband and I a check for $625 (which is half a refund for the $1250 tree we paid for and had to remove ourselves). She asked that with this check I do not write this ********* all seriousness though, I have never in my life experienced a business that was so highly unprofessional as MasterAZscapes. This company has taken zero accountability for their mistakes, and they love to blame blame blame. If you enjoy a company that loves to have arguments over the phone then by all means. If you are looking for a professional landscaping company to complete a job with diligence and care, then run far far away from MasterAZscapes.

  Master AZscapes did a great job on my new back yard. From the initial consultation, a really cool 3d concept, to the end result. Very professional staff and workers. I highly recommend!

  If we could give this comapny a zero, we would. I wish we had listened to the negative reviews. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, LOOK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO WORK WITH AND DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR 'FAMILY RUN' AND 'GOOD GUY' ROUTINES.We strugged with communication during the project, especially when the issues went all the way up to the *** design consistency and craftsmanship; payment planning (they did not provide their standard payment schedule and then they began asking for payments midway through, which would not be an issue if the work was up to the standards they promised); their issues getting the watering correct, every person who came to change the watering (they have to have control of the watering for awhile) would say 'I don't know what that last person was thinking.' It was always a constant struggle. At one point, they almost left us with an electrical hazard of an outlet becuase we also asked them to fix the rock around the outlet.Do not let their warranty documents fool you; they changed the wording on the warranty document after we came back asking them to replant some items that we were told 'pay the last part of your bill and we will do it,' but that never happened and then it became their word against ours.I was planning to submit this review at a later date, but my last straw happened this morning, when our landscaper took one look at our Jacaranda tree (very expensive through them) and said it was dead, and our grass is dying because they did not add enough sprinkler heads, which we now have to replace for something more comercial (to get water farther out) or add more heads, which would mean tearing up parts of the yard.I am heartbroken that we cannot enjoy our yard as we should be able to at this point, and that half our plants and a tree have died.If you want to take your chances with them, go ahead, but you will struggle, be unhappy, and never be helped when you ask to correct the many issues that will come from working with them.

  This is a horrible company if I could give them minus zeros I would, we had them do a simple barbecue build, pergola and firepit. The project was started November of 2021 they said they would start by February of 2022 due to the permits etc. then they came back and said they couldn't do it until May we were going to be gone so that wasn't an option. We rescheduled and they gave us a date between October *****, 2022 well they never started until Mid November they never worked more then 2 days in a month the ******* showed up twice the inspections failed three times, the electrical was botched the crew did an amateur job and I mean amateur job on the barbecue build and fire pit not a professional job that you expect when you pay thousands of dollars they are the most incompetent company I have ever come across. The whole job was finally completed first week of March 2023!!! Over a year! I had to call and email them almost every day once the owner even said oh yes we will have it completed before Christmas well as you can see it took them another 3 months.I would NOT recommend this company they are terrible to work with the whole time they acted like they did not want to do the work, for what they did the project was way overpriced. We did research them out and they had good reviews wow this company must have put out their own reviews because they are the worst.

  We requested a free estimate for a remodel of our backyard. We met the designer on May 13. He said he needed a $1000 check made out to him for a design that would be credited to the cost of our project. We met again on June 22 with a contract and a computer print out of our lot and house and general sketches of other features, with no measurements. As we reviewed the contract, we noted several discrepancies. The $1000 design fee was not credited. The number one priority of a patio and a patio cover size was quoted wrong. He listed $585 for spa area cleanup-we did not have a spa. He said that the company doing the pebble tec replacement do not clean up the pool, so this fee was for their crew to remove the old debris. There were no measurements on the patio areas or the new walk ways. No mention of moving existing plantings. There were no samples of tiles, pavers, etc. that were quoted as estimates on the contract and the fine print said the contractor could make substitutions of equal or greater quality. He sent us an email on June 23 with photos of colors for tile, pavers, etc. that stated some colors may differ from screen to screen. We saw no actual samples of these materials, and didnt like most of what we saw in the photos.I notified the designer of all these discrepancies and he said he would correct the contract. The second contract dated June 30 had the patio and cover size still incorrect. It did credit our $1000 design fee, but no further clarification on measurements of other features.I left several messages at the main office. Finally I was able to speak to a manager and I told him we did not have confidence in the designer and wanted to deal with someone else. I left several more messages, but could not connect for an actual discussion.So the free estimate was misleading. We did not continue with this business. But this was an expensive, frustrating experience, with no results, thus I would not recommend this business.
