      Recently we moved from ******* to ********, and used Beltmann North American *** Lines. I have moved many times in my career as a contract engineer, but this was a terrible experience. They "forgot" a deep freezer and some other unreplaceable items, and badly damaged several furniture items. In total, there was over $6,000 in missing and damaged items. They sent a guy from *******'s Restorations out and he looked at the damages, telling us he would repair the furniture damage - but we never heard from him again. Instead, about a week later, we received a check for $200 from the moving company.Don't ever use this company!

      We regret that ******************** had damaged and missing items. ********************** claim for the unfortunate damage has been processed and a settlement check was sent to ******************** by North American *** Lines. He's been encouraged to reach out to Michaels Restoration to complete the repairs. A reimbursement check for the cost of the deep freezer was sent to ******************** as well. A trace has been completed by North American *** Lines and unfortunately, the claimed missing items were not located. The purpose of the Household Goods Inventory Listings is to ensure that all items tendered for delivery have been delivered and signed for. This is North American *** Lines basis for accepting and declining liability. The documentation indicated that the inventory listings had been signed for with no notation of missing items or missing boxes or boxes being tampered with. Therefore, North American *** Lines declined responsibility for the claimed missing items. We apologize for the unfortunate issues that ******************** experienced; it is certainly not indicative of the service that we have built our reputation on.
