This company agreed to do an estate sale for my uncle who passed away. I am the executor. They came in with a team to do an estate clean out and charged us a shocking amount for the estate clean out. Enough where the sale made about $12,000 and we only received $1,700. The amount of hours they told us they would need was never communicated and the cost of what they did was unreasonable. We would have never agreed to this if the business was upfront about what they were going to net from this sale versus what we would get. She barely advertised the sale. It was a last minute listing on estatesales.net. The sale happened and I called to complain about a number of issues including blatant theft of customers (due to her set up) I witnessed on my cameras and I recorded a member of her team saying "who cares what happens to this stuff, they don't care, they live in ********". They are not providing me with the accounting of the sale. They told me they wanted to do a second sale to try to get rid of more things when I complained. I agreed. They set me up. She did not advertise this sale anywhere. They did nothing to promote the second sale. I was told we were getting $82 from the sale two weeks after the sale was completed. They said they sold a ****** bed and there was traffic in the sale. That amount makes no sense. Then at the end of the sale they unplugged all of my cameras. Left them unplugged as they left and the house was cleared out by her team. I believe they purposely did not advertise that sale and intended to take everything from the home to resell privately without our cut. I have no proof or information on where the items went after the sale. They had no permission or any right to unplug my cameras which protect me from liability and crime for an unoccupied residence. I had someone drive and check on the house and he plugged the cameras back in. I believe she crossed an ethical line and I want to see proof that they didn't completely scam me.
