I was assigned Teris health services by Banner medical for EAP counseling with benefits for free services. I informed Teris health services to let me know before any charges would be incurred. They did not inform me an intake appointment with a separate office member than my counselor was counted as a session. Then after I had what I was approved for 6 reall sessions with my counselor ********************* they called to tell Me I had had 7 sessions due to the intake appointment. They then told me cash price was 110 or insurance was 105 but then billed me for $185. They are running a fraud to take money from People using their employer benefits. I want the $185 they state I owe written off as they made the mistakes and did not inform the client myself or EAP at all.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

The nature of this dispute is the fraudulent billing of services that were submitted to our previous health insurance, United Healthcare (UHC) by ****'s Health Services (THS).June 3, 2021 Claim: ***** July 02, 2021 Claim: ***** On 9/31/23 I spoke with **** at UHC ************************ who stated both of the above claims were billed as "custodial care facility at an in patient level". The services were both 10 min. at the most TeleHealth calls with ************************. THS, which were the only services offered due to Covid. **** informed us that THS is the only party that can resubmit the incorrectly billed claims due to receiving the billing statement outside of the time frame to file an appeal. **** left a VM with THS during our call while I was on the line to hear and explained this to THS. **** left both UHC's contact information and ours and asked for them to contact both of us with any questions or concerns. THS did not reply. Again, I left numerous follow up VM's with no response from THS. **** advised not to pay invoice and to contact BBB if we were not contacted by THS with follow up or resolution. We never received any billing statements from THS until mid 2023 for services in 2021. Many of the Telehealth appointments we scheduled were no shows by THS. The 1st provider we met with (*************************) prescribed my daughter who was suicidal at the time meds. When we called our pharmacy for a refill they tried numerous times to contact THS to process the refill without any success. When a human finally answered their phone at THS they stated that ******* was no longer with the company & scheduled us with a different provider (****************) who also left w/o notice to us. We've left numerous voice mail messages with no call backs or response. We continue to receive the same billing statement with incorrect services that never took place. We have exhausted our options on contacting THS. The quality of care is dangerous for mental health services! Please help us!
