- Advertising Review:
On March 2, 2023, BBB requested Congress Realty Inc to modify, substantiate, or discontinue claims on their website (http://www.cylexsigns.com) that read:
“WE ARE THE ORIGINAL SYNTHETIC STONE / FAUX WOOD SIGN MANUFACTURER”.
Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.
BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 Basic Principles of the Code requires that advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.
On February 8, 2023, Cylex Signs, LLC replied to BBB's inquiry but did not submit substantiation, modification, or removal of claims made on their website.
As of February 21, 2023 the business has not responded to BBB's request.
